Joel is much better IMO.. Smith gets in mindset he's riding the best and pace doesn't matter sometimes and get's caught way to far back on horses that are tactical....It happens way to much PLUS Joel...

Santa Anita is the great race place...no way it shuts down. they will fix issues may have to reconfigure turf sprint course but no way it closes...my greatest memory was there when we road tripped...

good answers....But I will say track bias and or pace is probably the biggest reason you see horses improve..One great betting angle is to to bet closer type horses who ran in merrygoround races...
