Very glad to hear the Juice man is finally getting what he deserves. It was openly being mocked for so long.

Very glad to hear the Juice man is finally getting what he deserves. It was openly being mocked for so long.
Hey str I tried searching but couldnt find it but basically....can turf courses have severe biases in the same way as dirt? What about synthetic tracks?
I've started following Hong Kong and...
Hey str,
Came across something I rarely see at Sam Houston when reviewing past races. The 6th race on Saturday featured a horse that just ran and won 3 days earlier. The horse went on to win...
I'm wondering if you meant Royal Mandate in the WO3 as I was literally coming to ask in general what happens with big purchases that debut late because of this horse.
Went off as 6/5 face but...
Thanks so much for this. I had never even thought of this before and feel almost dumb never knowing this haha.
So not sure if you listen to it, but I was listening to the latest In the Money...
Something I've never thought until seeing this post......is there a difference between buying a yearling and buying an older horse?
Do the horses at Keeneland sales then come through the ring as...

You see the Amsterdam Stakes? Shancelot looks like a rediculous horse.
Thanks so much for that. Yeah the draw is currently as the post positions I posted. The race is also a sixteenth shorter and back to dirt. Avies Flatter has not raced on dirt either.
I actually...
Hey str,
Thought posting about the Prince of Wales Stakes might be an interesting how it features 5 runners from the Queens Plate a few weeks prior. The PW is a 5 horse field so compared to the 14...
Hey str hope all is well.
Had a question about something I saw Craig Milkowski say on Twitter.it was regarding NYRA having higher purses that makes winning every race not a necessity. I've heard...
Thanks for the writeup STR, wasn't going to go without seeing your opinion while handicapping. Your insight is awesome!!
Just posting a heads-up with the Florida Derby draw today with Hidden Scroll getting the 1 post, that Gladiator King who he dueled with won a gr3 at GP last weekend.
...
Sorry for not being clearer. I'll copy and paste something from post 2106 you wrote
Basically, it was a discussion on the difference between 1-turn mile and 2-turn miles and how the 1-turn...
Hey guys,
Was recently just browsing the thread again and came across this exchange around post 2102...
Str, thanks so much for providing us that Fountain of Youth write up. I'm not joking when I say I spent 30mins watching the replay on 1 screen and your write up on the other.
What it got me...
Hey str, not sure if you watched the Fountain of Youth but Twitter was really going back and forth on Hidden Scroll all week. (many reasons: Freakout slop performance, trying 2 turns 1st time, maiden...
Thanks str. Your writing is very capable of painting a picture in my head that is so easy to understand. That was great insight that really makes sense to me. I really have no questions about the...
Hey str, some general pace questions concerning position/closing horses with no specific race in-mind.
1) Concerning slower paced races......should the position/closing horses still be...
Wow yeah, must have been misprint as thats the only reason it stood out to me.
Hey str hope all is well, been lurking still but a horse in the Withers had me wondering about something.
I dont have the pp link but the horse is Tax. Basically the horse first lost a mc30000...
Hey str,
As I know you raced at Del I believe, would you be pissed at a starter for doing this?
...
Well I had fun.
Very cool, love your education str!!
Quick question I think.....
Tonight in the 6th race (state allownce n3L) at CT, the fave B's Wild Cork only has 2 wins, and won this condition last out as only a maiden winner.
Following the...
Have been doing it even more now using your analogy of football over the past few days and I cant believe how Im seeing things diffrently.
i will say what helps is not only a bigger screen, but as...
I see what you are totally saying now, thanks for this!!! I actually held the laptop (small screen) closer to my eyes to see, and could really see the subtle difference. I now see it might be worth...
So have been practising trying to watch a race and predict a winner by the turn, by watching Tampa replays. It has been tough, and I have been finding Im overestimating frontrunners ability to...
Thanks so much for the answer, I had a followup if thats ok.
For a horse that showed nothing but had decent odds (or bad odds, guess it doesnt matter?) and the replay couldnt explain the bad race,...
Hey str,
Just some quick follow-up questions from going back and reading the thread.
-Going wide in the 1st turn in a 2-turn route is bad. Is being wide in the turn during sprints equally as...
Great post.
Hey str, I had a question about when a horse comes under a trainer's control?
Does the owner buy the horse first and then bring it to you? Will you have a horse from age 1? Or are you involved in...
Hey str, going back and re-reading the thread. I really do like and appreciate following one track and getting to know it. I just wondering though as someone who still likes to follow the bigger...
Hey STR, hope you're doing well. Im getting back into the sport after a year of having to watch my finances for a house repair. Now that Im getting back into, Im getting back into the feel of replay...
Hey str, hope all is well. Just curious your thoughts on how this horse is being handled, its a horse I had been following since his first start based on a trip.
...
Great writeup STR!!
Wow, really interesting to hear this aspect from you guys.
Thanks for that great answer.
So I understand the need to have space for that lead switch but up until that moment, is it possible to have 2 horses side-by-side tightly both be considered having a...
Was just thinking of this and had a related question to this old one, but how wide is a horse? Do you measure by chest? Are other parts of the horse's measurements ever done?
Also, thanks for that...
Wondering your thoughts on this str. Doug O Neil yesterday at SA lost with 4 faves.

Just wondering if you think there is any knowledge...
As a trainer, were you reading charts regularly?
Whatd you think of the Travers Str? Did you like this spot for AP?
I like this post!
Playing a $1 exacta on 3,6,8,19/3,6,8,18,19
Placed a win start for my sister on Bolo cause she liked the name haha.
Yeah when I saw 15-1 with Upstart, I automatically liked it.
Any thoughts leading up to the Derby str?
Another good site is calracing.com; not every track is on it, but if you search by horse name, you can get some good replays. I love my headons, and they have that option.
Yeah Oaklawn is tricky with live vid and replays unless your ADW has it. ESPN.com shows Oaklawn, but you're limited to like 30 mins. Enough to watch their stakes races, but not much elese.
Also,...

Hey str,
With news that SB is heading to the CT Classic, is there any way for a trainer/connections to know how a horse might take to its unique shape? Is it a good spot for SB as well to be ready...
Just a question about classifying a race as being won by a closing horse or speed horse, do you have any set criteria? Like lengths back at a certain part of the track?
