    Default Davydenko - Federer

Davydenko has played a poor tennis today, but he passed into the quarters, where he'll meet Federer. The russian player has no lose this year. 3 weeks ago,Davydenko won at Doha with Federer : 6 - 4; 6 - 4,but I think now it will be more difficult for Nikolay. What do you think?

With the way Davydenko struggled through that last match in the 3rd and 4th sets, I think value lies in Davydenko to win the 1st set.

Federer at -220 I think at Pinnacle for this. Davydenko at +200.

I'll say just what I said before the Verdasco-Davydenko match, I'll buy into the hype when he wins an important match late in a Slam. He tried his damnedest to fold yesterday, but was fortunate to play someone who couldn't serve his way out of a paper sack when he needed to. 20 double faults by Verdasco and he gave a lot of break opportunities. Only good thing Davydenko has going for him is he won't eat you money on chalk against Federer, otherwise I'll take Federer in this one. To me, best of 5 sets doesn't get enough publicity as a HUGE factor in Grand Slams. There is a monsterous difference between beating a Federer or Nadal early in the year at a best of 3 versus outlasting them in 5.

I think Davy is going to get fatigued and Fed will roll

Davy looks slightly different on outdoors, having to deal with the heat etc. I missed their last match in Doha but watched the one before that. Even in that game Federer practically gifted davy the match in the final set with his loads of UEs. Can't see davy win in the best of five set match.

I think the value is on Federer. Anything less than -300 for Fedex to win outright is ALMOST always good value.

    Default Davy!!!

I agree, Davy wins outright. Hey, I saw Anna K last night at a club. Kinda cool...

Davy will have to play the best 5 set match of his career in order to take this. It can be done, but after the way he nearly collapsed his last match, it is unlikely. Fed's serve will not let him down as Verdasco's did. No way in hell will Fed double fault 20 times.

Well Davydenko came out good, but then faded unfortunately.

And so ends the Davydenko bandwagon. Good riddance.
