It may be worth a shot at +700.
+2.5 sets at even money is definitely worth a bet.

do you think +2.5 (ev) is more safe in this situation than federer to win 3-1 (+240) exactly depends on how many sets you think hewitt will take. hes at home and playing well so maybe he wins a few. i think its possible.

its federer so maybe its not too wise to pick against him losing whatever- a set, serve, number of games etc.

anyone else hear the one announcer during the 1st set of the Verdy/Davy match say he saw a group of Aussies boozing at like 9 AM in preparation for the Hewitt match tonight....one things for sure, that place will be rocking and if Hewitt can feed off of it, he may have a shot to pull out the outright. I like the handicap and also like the +2.5 sets bet and may perhaps take a stab on the ml as well.

LOL thats normal with us aussies! I dont think it will affect the outcome of the match. Fed has been in this environment many times before and he is not one to buckle from a home ground disadvantage.

    Fed 3-0, 3-1(maybe)

I don't have the probabilities regarding the likelihood of each event happening, but I'd rather have the +2.5 sets.

    L.Hewitt Wins 3-2 +1150
if youre gonna take him +700 anyway- this is he wins and doesnt hold federer under 2 sets

+2.5 is good, its winning at least one set- the chances are definitely better but then you sacrifice the payout odds. more often than not- that is the right move.

Baggy sucked against Hewitt, but LLeyton should be fresh for this one. Roger could suffer a lapse for a set or even two. Crowd will have little effect on Fed, even if it is rowdy. He has seen it all.

The extra +450 payout is not worth it IMO because you always have the possibility of injury. It would suck if Feds had to retire after the 1st set and you had the 3-2 at +1150 rather than the straight +700 ml.

Gen, i hate to over-hype it but given that fed has the record slams and simply cannot be as hungry or focused, lleyton is into twilight of his career, i really believe this is gona be a helluva match. i know marcos b was banged up but the energy and crispness in hitting that lleyton showed 2 nights ago was amazing. the electricity in melbuhn is amazing and you know as much as they love fed they know he has the record 15 majors so now it's time for lleyton to win. fed owns him but he also owned roddick before wimbledon and we know how that match went (an instant classic)

i am guessing this goes at least 4 very close sets with lotsa 7-5's and 7-6's in there

    Lets' get it on.

I just ate a big double cheeseburger and I am getting sleeeepy after staying up most of the day Saturday AM thru Sunday in anticipation of the NFL conf championships.

I am likely to fall asleep in the recliner.

    why the merger?

anyway, it turns out that a retirement will be a push on the sets bet.

ALRIGHT! i am up really late and i guess i cant resist some action. i do like hewitt to win a couple sets. i think some of these sets would finish 6-4 or 7-5. i think hewitt is going to come out strong infront of the home crowd and the first set is going to be a good one. so i just put in a little bet.

    fed/hewitt first set over 9 1/2, 10 +100 $25 to win $25.
