Default Nicolas Almagro - Alexandro Falla @ -151

a good run by falla but i think it ends today, almagro obviously the better player

only negative factor is almagro playing two straight 5 setters while falla cruised through marcel granollers so he might be a little bit more fresh

a good game to put some money on, does anyone have an opinion on this matchup?

fallas in good form, almagro is worn and a notorious choker. coinflip- slight micro-lean falla

I think it's due to Almagro's play in the 1st two rounds. If he had finished off either match without choking away the two sets lead, he would have been a much larger favorite IMO.

If Almagro's serve is on, he should pull it off...Falla line falling, but it is tough to envision him advancing this far in a major

almagro is a choker and a lesser athlete. although a player with way better tennis technique and finesse. some people mighta thought like me that when nerves come into play, so does conservatism and then the manliest man has a good chance to win- approaching the net, striking soft balls really hard.

plus i think a lot of people thought this was a coin flip and falla happened to pay more

i don't think so...he is a dirtballer and all of his previous matches were low lines...hell...he wasn't even favoured in round 1 against a qualifier

yes I agree that almagro is a choker as someone said, but indeed he has a lot of tennis talent

I think the reason people dont favor almagro so much is his sloppy play, that turns to bad play at some tournaments, I think that is because he is not motivated

and thats why I favored him here, at this stage of a grand slam if he wasnt motivated to show all that talent then he should've quit tennis

no disrespect to falla but he is not a round four grand slam quality player, almagro is

I think you are right here, odds always reflect player recent form, which is something I like to take advantage of to make some money when out of form great players play in forn mediocre/bad ones
