I don't actually mind Maria Navertalova. Can't stand Brad Gilbert.

Gilbert is funny to me, sometimes he goes too far with it and is stupid, but I don't mind him. I wish ESPN would steal John McEnroe away from CBS and team him up with Patrick. When they did the US Open together, they were entertaining and informative. Johnny Mac is probably my favorite color guy. Enberg is okay, but the OH MY stuff was old in 1987.

i prefer the euro announcers...they seem to be more knowledgeable and they provide more humour...and they don't suck the cocks or the cooches of the american players

Definitely McEnroe...Connors was awful while commentating the US Open (havent seen him at the AO yet)....Martina has potential...Mary Joe rarely tells us what we dont already know

Johnny Mac is my favorite color guy too, although sometimes he reiterates his points too much.

gotta love jmac...especially when you are watching one of the lesser named peoples matches and hear how shitty those announcer guys are.

Courier just made an ass of himself interviewing Federer on court.

I agree Necro that the euros are more comical.

thanks maria nat....at the end of the jie zheng match she was like i should go ahead and put my money down on zheng against bondarenko- then proceeded to talk some sh*t about her

that probably gave me/us way better odds on the player that should win a-bon

when you serve 75 percent first serves in in the first set, i have no idea how one loses the set...especially when the other stats were about equal and frenchie was around 56 percent first serve...must have come down to the crucial pts where it was lost...but the last 2 sets looked good for zheng...thing she should prevail against bondarenko

i really doubt it....bartolli is just out of shape. a-bon is playing better than shes ever played since the start of the year. i watched zheng and alona play even today. zheng is too weak physically. she wont be able to keep up and bondarenko wins 6-4 6-4

zheng wasnt hitting clean winners- bartoli was hitting losers and not getting to easy balls.
i bet zheng tonight and i like her but shes not in the part of the tournament where she has to play athletes- her upper body training isnt up to par and shes not gonna even be able to direct the ball where she really wants to how hard its gonna be coming at her. jie is good at getting the ball in, she can cover a lot of court...thats it. bartoli broke her 4 times in the first set. she just got tired and faded away. and im glad.
