    LLEYTON HEWITT-180 vs MARCOS BAGHDATIS

i think lleyton will take this but I wouldn't put anything on it because I know that the more important tournament to him starts very soon....i'll wait until the AOpen to put something on him....but hewitt is still my pick for this match.

He was absolutely dominant against Seppi. I didn't cap the match, wanted to throw something on Hewitt b/c the Cypriat is a head case and saw Hewitt at -165... Didn't pull the trigger so now I am just a watcher. GL

Don't worry - I didn't either...I said in my message i thought Hewitt would win but I would not put anything on him until the Australian Open...I was worried he might cave in and save his energy which it looks like he did....same match up next week and I would take Hewitt with confidence.

marcos is back from an injury riddled 2009r,he might a few tourneys this year..

Marcos might be worth following since the lines will be skewed due to last year's injury-plagued disaster.

I agree and w/o delving into the relevant information I think he puts a hurt on Fish. However, I don't know how long the value will last (i.e. once he wins a tournament he will be on the radar).

Yep, that's the problem. Guys who aren't getting much respect can only be ridden for short periods.

After they make a deep run, the markets adjust. Cirstea is a good example.

Surprised Baghdatis beat Hewitt in Australia, but Baghdatis is clearly better than people think.

I watched the final games last night (from 4-2 in the final set to the 6-3 final. Hewitt almost broke him to make it 4-3, which would've put him right back in it).

I think there is already no value on Baghdatis looking at the price for tonight. -210? No thanks.

Default Tennis Hewitt/Baggy IN MATCH DISCUSSION

I said that when they played last time that Hewitt would save a bit for the Aussie Open and he was a no-play for me last week. This week is a different story and I think Hewitt will pull out all the stops to make sure he gets through here. Should be a pretty close match...maybe 4 or 5 sets so the OVER might be a good play but I will go with Hewitt here.

This a toss up. Anyone can win. This will be a 5 hr 5 set match.

Their 2008 Aussie Open match could be a pretty solid indicator for this one. 5 sets. Lots of tight sets. It's probably gonna pretty much be a pick 'em unless someone unloads on one or the other. I see Hewitt is a slight dog at Pinnacle at +104.

Should be tight. Hewitt knows what he has to re-tool from the loss in Sydney.

Should be a fantastic match. Both guys will have a lot of support. Obviously more will be in Hewitt's corner, but the Greeks will be just as vocal behind Bag. I'm really looking forward to it. I like both players a lot, and would like to see Hewitt pull it out. However, with how Baghdatis is playing, I'd give him a slight edge. I could see this being a lot like their last meeting, like a lot of you other guys.

i agree- toss-up/stay away but it should be fun to watch
might throw a dollar on baghdatis just to make it interesting but it should be decided on the court

Bag was cramping in the leg, that took a lot of power away from his shots and Hewitt didn't look like he was too worse for wear.

  25. #25

Looked at the weather, temperatures very mild today in the 70s - that helps Baghdatis in my opinion with the cramping issue mentioned - well that and drinking some fluids. Should be picture perfect day to play.

Baghdatis' last match took alot out of him while Hewitt cruised. I think a fresh, extremely-focused Lleyton Hewitt wins in 3 or 4 sets.

well public is on Hewitt, but for some reason I feel he will do really well today.

Leaning Hewitt. I think he will keep his unforced errors to a minimum. Bag had a nice crowd vs. ferrer but Hewitt is obviously gonna have the support. To me it just comes down to consistency and I think Hewitt has it. I think I will play Hewitt lightly for fun and not investment purposes. Really is a toss up. Good luck all

this one truly is a complete tossup... hewitt is playing with passion/heart like never before and has a never say die attitude. Baggy is pulling out all the stops and won't quit either. I can't see this going any less than 4 probably with at least one tiebreaker and a 7-5 as well.

Play the over and there shouldn't be any worries. As to the winner..... who the hell knows.

Bag has played a lot of tennis past 2 weeks and without crowd support last match he prob wouldn't have made it. Hewitt is fresh and should do the job here.

    Hewitt is my play

I like the way Baggy has been playing of late, but can't pass up the Aussie in this spot.
