    Default Andy Murray

I am totally unimpressed with this guy - not to say I have never picked him to win - I did today and he almost got beat. I just hate watching him play - slice after slice, so passive - unimpressive serving. I don't think there is any way he will be a #1 tennis player if he keeps playing this way. Even though he is the favorite to win Valencia I don't think he will and it is probably a good idea to fade him in all matches because of how big of a fav he is against most players.

playing the spread against him is a better idea right now, even though when you picked the spread against him in his first match he killed it...he's hard on himself and will look to improve i think.

Sorry for the noob question, but how do you play the spread in tennis?

You wait until a line is posted for a match - Murray/Montanes was -5.5 for Murray. So he would need to win by 6 games to cover the spread. I took Montanes and lost by a game because it was 6-4,6-2. One more game and I would have won.

like him too but he will most likely lose to a higher ranked player ...he is mentally unstable when trying to up his game...

I think it is easy to be unimpressed with Murray b/c of his style of play. He is a great returner and is good at avoiding unforced errors but is not a world class shot maker and his serve is sh-t. He has been repeatedly criticized by Fed and I agree that his wait for the other guy to screw up style is a mockery of the high level game... but then again he's in the top four of the ATP and I'm unemployed posting on a gambling forum.
