well, I'm just curious b/c she has been destroying the circuit lately.... an incredible run... and here she is only -400 vs. Kerb? Kerb doesn't have the big-boy weapons and against an in-form Sorilla should get demolition treatment.

Fatigue. Serena played like ass yesterday, but won against an inferior opponent. She admitted Olympic schedule may have caught up with her. No energy yesterday.

I wouldn't touch Serena. Did you see her play yesterday? She looked horrible and couldn't move. U. Radwanska was just total shit. Didn't like what I saw from Serena.

my point is she is one of the most competitive womans players we have seen probably in our life time. she knows she laid a clunker yesterday and knows she has to bring effort to beat Kerber. i highly doubt we see her in the form she was yesterday.

if Sorilla shows up, this can be a 6-1, 6-1 bloodbath given that Kerber is a weaponless player. even top players w/ weapons that have faced Serena have gotten 6-1, 6-1.....

Yeah but Williams may be tired and not as motivated after a busy last two months. Kerber isnt weaponless. She can grind stroke for stroke from the baseline if Serena isnt at the top of her game. Kerbs is light years ahead of U. Radwanska skill wise and Urzula was giving Williams problems yesterday.

If Venus wins her match with Stosur, I wouldnt expect much inspired play today from Serena. Steam chasers might get burned on Serena today. Something you have to definitely consider because it will be a factor.

What the hell are you guys mentioning Venus Williams in this thread for? What the hell does she have to do with this match? Even if Serena survives, the only way she meets her is in the final. This is the quarters, she has to win again after today just to meet Venus and Venus still has to finish off Stosur and then win one more ....
