It was so obvious she was going to tank this match. Serena already had an awesome year, won the Olympics, and probably will win the US Open. Why in the hell would she want to win this match if Venus is still alive?
Of course she's going to let the aging sister have one last chance for a title. Sure they dont meet until the finals but why even play this match??? It was so blatant....I jumped all over the Kerber spread line once Venus won her match. That was a factor that the books heavily misjudged on that Serena line movement.
