I seem to be betting on a ridiculous amount of French-involved tennis matches in the last week or so. Maybe it's all getting me subconsciously jacked up for the French Open. In any case, another I like involving a Frenchie.

Benneteau -115 (Massu)
Neither player comes in with great form, however Massu is just 2-8 on clay in 2009 and his 2nd win was in the first round here. Benneteau had a similar build-up to Roland Garros in 2008. He had zero form and then made a fantastic run in Monte Carlo and then carried that into a nice run at the French. Is lightning striking twice? I don't know if he'll be heading to the final of this Austrian event, but I don't trust Massu for shit. His serve is far from unflappable, so if Benneteau can play steady tennis .... I think he gets this done.

Benneteau +110 (Hernandez)
As outlined for the last match, Benneteau got hot right before the French Open in 2008. He appears headed in that same direction and is seeking the final in Austria. Hernandez beat Benneteau back in April in Monte Carlo when neither had much form. If Benneteau has a run in mind at Roland Garros, he needs to beat a player like Oscar Hernandez. 2nd serve is huge here as that was the killer for the Frenchman in their April meeting. Price is right for moi. And yeah, the picks go French again. Do it. Do it.

And as a cover for this one, I am also parlaying Hernandez & Youzhny for 1/3rd of my unit size straight up on Benneteau. So in case Frenchy falls flat, I'd make back about 45% of the original wager. Gay? You betcha.

Yeah I took Benneteau for a couple units. Apparently my parlay did not get posted at my book, which saved me some money since Youzhny lost in 3. So I'm probably just gonna get gang raped on the French pick!

This is pretty much a heat check. There's no discernable difference between these two as this is probably more of a 50-50 prop. I'm riding with the guy who got me some cash this week. Gonna give back about a third of what he won me this week to see if he's got what it takes to actually win a clay title. Worth it to me, don't know about you.
