ROSOL has better nerves then Ive ever seen a tennis player in my life!
Nadal had ZERO chance.....never seen Nadal get dominated in the 5th set like that before, not by Federer, not by Joker...not by anybody.

$425 is a pretty big hit for me, considering I usually bet to win in the $50-$100 range.
    YA BABY!!!

  5. #75

I still fail to admit Rafa played bad or anything of the sort. No tennis player could've beaten Rosol the way he was playing - particularly this last set. Ace on nearly all of his service points. And 90++mph backhand winners on return lol.

Would think to use Kohlschreiber heavily in your plays nezt round. Rarely do guys who pull these stunners off ... Follow it up.

  8. #78

Im sorry EaglesPhan, but there is no way I would bet against Rosol right now....not a chance!

  9. #79

Time to break BR management rules....all-in on Kohl.

I have no idea what kind of line theyll put up for this but man, this will be by far the best fade of the year.

One thing to fade a guy coming off the biggest win of his career, but a whole different, and much better, thing to fade a guy coming off one of the biggest upsets in history.

Barring some sort of injury, im 100% sure Kohl beats Rosol. As well as he played today...no doubt in my mind.

I cant take the chance Sport_Fish.
If he plays with any type of resemblance as today, I don't know who will beat him.

I'm sure he will beat himself at some point, but I cant take the chance.

That's exactly whats gonna happen. Simply put, he will not play the same way he played today, not even close.

I would've faded him against literally any opponent after this win, but it sure as hell helps that he's facing a player in solid form right now in Kohl.

Even if Rosol gets bageled the next match, he won't give a damn. He's already accomplished what almost no one on the tour can do, and beaten Nadal in a best of 5. I would say in his mind, he's 'won' already.

What the fck. Took out My money at 2-2. Thought they were going to finish tomorrow...well well...

  14. #84

Yes, the "fade the unknown guy who just pulled off a huge upset" is one of the best strategies in the grand slam.. It never fails

Kohlschreiber will roll him next round. Real anxious to see the line.

The guy really showed no sign of nerves getting to him today at all.

Your perspective, but the guy played the match of his life against a guy who admittedly did not look to be on his game either. If it was a veteran player, maybe I could see riding him - but expecting a young player to replicate that sort of thing is tough. Books make a killing off these sort of spots. Rosol will open at a price to entice Joe Average who will say he beat NADAL, of course he beats Kohlschreiber. That being said. Kohli lays eggs plenty and will need a strong start.

ha, one of the worst wimbledon tourneys of all time. all of the scrubs winning and good players getting knocked out. anyone who is betting on these scrubs are just getting lucky.

Rosol goes from playing on centre court against one of the greats of this generation of tennis to playing on a secondary court against a seeded player whose resume doesn't come close to Nadal's.

That energy and motivation won't be there. Rosol won't be as amped about playing Kohli, and that could lead to a serious letdown.

With all that said, I'm not betting this match. I advise others to do the same. Don't fade a guy after a big win, and don't tail him. Just lay off and see what develops ...

Other than Nadal, no one that is really good got knocked out on the men's side ... and we know the women's side is always full of upsets.

Djoker, Fed, Murray, Tsonga, Ferrer, Del Portro and Tipsy ... they're all still alive. Granted, Tipsy has a very difficult matchup tomorrow and may not be alive much longer.

You could mention Berdych, but Berdych's first serve has been consistently awful for a couple months now. He's not a Top 10 player at the moment IMO because he is faulting way too often on his first serve and letting a lot of mediocre players push him (or beat him) on various surfaces. Until that serve gets fixed, and Berdych starts popping out more aces, I can't honestly call him one of the best players on tour -- regardless of ranking.

  23. #93

Agreed Parlay - apart from Nadal the mens side is pretty much as expected, even the women's side too really. I've won all my parlays on Wimbledon so far taking big chalk but have had to be really careful - or lucky depending how you look at it - to avoid people with known mental issues (Berdych, Tsonga, Stosur, etc) or paying ridiculous odds - Nadal was -20000 in a parlay at Pinny when I looked at it.

I understand the let-down angle but equally there can be the "riding the high" angle, haven't ever seen any hard evidence about which one is more applicable. Anyone got any stats on players that cause big upsets and how they perform the next match?

  24. #94

Good match, fun to see an upset; good for tennis. Rosol played great. Hope joker wins

Well then, you are missing out on huge $$ opportunities historically.

Perhaps, but there are thousands of opportunities to make money every day. You could argue that everyone misses out on huge money making opportunities on a daily basis.

I don't need to bet on or against Rosol/Kohli to make money Saturday. I'll find several other bets that will cash much more easily, and so can anyone else if they put in the work.
