nadal losing to verdasco up 2 breaks
sererna losing in the french in rd 1
nadal losing to some bum who will prolly get smoked in the next round

    this is pretty nuts

Brutal! I probably would have included Nadal but he was -20000 at Pinnacle in a parlay, stupid odds - thankfully as it turns out

All other plays hit pretty easy, I didn't include Roddick or Tsonga either because I can't trust them

BOL if you decide to get back on the parlay horse

Oh, Nadal gave it to you hard in the ying-yang. I only had him in one wager in a parlay, and he's the only one who lost. Could have been alot worse but $900 is a bad boo-boo.

Not that it wasn't a total out of the ordinary performance, but what is the point in including -9750 into a parlay? I think if your project is going to be successful - you have to have a cutoff point on the price. Adding super high chalk like that just doesn't seem like it is worth it.

I'm a heavy chalk guy during grand slams, but EP is absolutely right. You have to have some cutoff point.

For me, it's typically -2500. Sometimes I'll go to -5000, but only if it's Djokovic and Federer on grass/hard and only Nadal on clay. Once you get past -5000, you're really not adding any value ... just a few bucks on a risk amount of hundreds of dollars.

Today, for example, I took Ferrer, Del Potro, Nishikori and Kohlschreiber. Del Potro was -2500, and he didn't add much value, but he added enough weighed against the risk of him losing to Soeda for me to throw him in there.

That's the key, really. Associating the risk of a player like Nadal losing against the price of the moneyline. Typically, -2500 is about as far as I can go ... and that's if you're talking about a lopsided matchup like Del Po had.

Sure, you were probably thinking, "There's no way Nadal goes out before the semis." Next time, think, "Is it worth going through the stress of one additional match when it's only going to add $5 to my payout?"

If you really want that extra $5 or $10, just bet on a line like -150 or -120. Even if you lose the bet, you're not buried.

My thoughts as well, -2000 or above is only reserved for the elite players, and only when they are injury free and you know they will give 100% and it's a favoured surface for them.

Any parlays you like for R3?

  9. #44

    yea, thats exactly what happened
i didnt even think twice, it was automatic when i saw nadal and his opponent
in hindsight, -9000 is a waste of time in a parlay, added nothing at all

    any thoughts??????

doesnt matter.. you lost both djoko/federer first set options..

you need to chill out bro.. do you know tennis very well? How much have you lost so far in this thread?

  15. #50

If you're looking for other high chalk plays that can be solid, don't play the 1st setters - way too unpredictable and almost any player in the top 50 can take a set of another player if they play their A-game.

Much better to play the +2.5 set options.
