Again, I'm not playing single matches any longer and I am not saying I know shit about shit, just lines that I see that make sense. 1 for 5, rockstar style.

    Anderson +120
    Montanes +540
    Ebden-Paire Under 40.5 [-115]
    Kubot-Dolgopolov Parlay

a few nice picks there...who is Montanes up against?

  6. #76

Baghdatis. I don't know why I picked Beck, maybe reverse curse? I had Levine in the SBR contest and like his serve better. Oh well. The under and the parlay I thought were pretty obvious ones to try. The others, ya know any given day could hit or get trounced.

Also forgot - fade Querrey and his back. Pospisil +248 or Over 38. Even if the Samurai was 100%, this is going to be a serve fest potentially where the sets might be very tight if both bring their A serve. Rate Over 38 slightly better than the Pospisil ML since Querrey's back isn't quite a known commodity as to how it is after he withdrew against Roddick last week.

Can we get a write-up on Zemlja...even just a few sentences. sometimes it seems like your pulling names out of a hat

  18. #88

I pulled Zemlja's name out of my hat too ;-)

he's on a 6-0 grass run this year, winning Nottingham Challenger (beating a couple of decent guys)

But it's mostly not trusting Verdasco for me. He hasn't been turning up for matches too often of recent.

Not Verdasco 3-0 is the bet I like most though.

Too bad Zemlja has no clue in tie breaks. Might have pushed Verdasco if he could have won one of these.

Have to re-evaluate the draw with the Nadal loser, but finding difficulty in not taking Tsonga perhaps as an add-on. Will update later also potentially with a women's addition.

IMO Sharapova's draw is looking p damn easy.

  35. #105

    Adding ...

    Tsonga +1500/1 unit
    Radwanska +2500/0.5 unit

For Tsonga, there are no excuses not to take advantage of Nadal's loss and move through this quarter into a 2nd consecutive Wimbledon semifinal. Mentally to this point, he seems to have shaken off the Djokovic loss in France and although lazy at times - has the best game of any of the players left in this quarter. He shouldn't have too much trouble with Lacko next up, probably four tough sets but he's got better weaponry. Then it's Goffin or Fish in the 4th, both of whom at this point Tsonga should also feel confident against - Goffin because he'd be a newbie to trying to make a Slam QF and Fish because you get the feeling he will be running on fumes if he makes it that far. A quarterfinal match would be between Brian Baker, Benoit Paire, Kohlschreiber or Rosol. All with good serves and decent games, but again a superior pedigree for Tsonga. His potential semifinal match-up would come from the Murray quarter - any of the survivors there being tough yet winnable. It would also be a tradeout opportunity.

If Ag-Rad can survive what is sure to be a hostile crowd against Heather Watson in the 3rd, she's got a very negotiable path to the semis. She'd likely have Petrova in the 4th and then a QF meeting with Peng, Rus, Kirilenko or Cirstea. That's a sneaky nice path if she can keep mowing down the competition and her semifinal pairing would be from the Sharapova quarter. I may be in the minority, but I have a sneaky suspicion that someone is going to jump up and KO Masha before the semis. Could be Zvonareva or Clijsters or Lisicki who pretty much fell off the rails since her Wimbledon semi appearance in 2011. Still, her game is tailor-made for grass and if she can mentally stay in-check and have a top serving day ... you never know.
