Gulbis sucks, but he's got heavy money on him apparently. Line dropped from -450 Almagro at my book to -280. Very fishy because Gulbis hasn't done dick all year and Almagro is really good on dirt & has success in Rome.

Honestly, I'd want at least +250 here, so I'd pass at +240. Keep your eye on the line though.

I'm gonna watch this line for the next hour and see if it moves any more. I may go for Gulbis simply because the crazy movement usually indicates something is up - be it a late injury to Almagro or the dreaded tennis fix-ola. But looking at LT's price & seeing the current price, that's a pretty hefty drop for a 1st round match where most of the smart money would go on Almagro (at least that's my opinion).

The covers should be off pretty soon… I would go and take a look around the players’ gym to see who’s nervously eating pasta and who’s listening to iPods/playing video games, but I’m busy putting up interviews on the homepage (Murray’s up already, Nadal will be up in two shakes of a lamb’s tail…)

7.17 pm: Absolutely torrential all of a sudden. I’m expecting an ark to hove into view any moment, particularly since the Vatican is just up the road. If the rain turns to locusts or frogs, I’ll be sure to let you know.

ya the news feed on the tournaments site said they could move gulbis to another court with no problem. its raining really hard now and both doubles matches were cancelled.

Doesn't look like they're gonna play much tennis until maybe Thursday. 80% chance of rain on Tuesday. 60% Wednesday into Thursday. They may have to cram a lot of matches into a couple of days.

I dunno. That match still is fishy as hell. I looked at the price at my book and Almagro is back up to -300, but the Gulbis price only went from +205 to +200. Weird movement like that says steer clear for me.

Forecast actually might clear a little Wednesday. Looked at another weather site. One has 60% rain, other has 30%. Tomorrow though both have 60-80. Be lucky to squeeze in a couple matches ... maybe.

Had a lot of money tied up on Canas. Finally they complete the match 73 hours after I bet. The douchebag lost but I still got my money refunded cause Bodog had a 72 hour rule back then.
