With an hour before the match is due to start (pending rain of course) I've finally placed a few bets. The smartest move would be to skip this match altogether and just hopefully be entertained by a thriller. But if I'm going to stay up half of the night for this I may as well put something on like a good degen.

I'm on the over 3.5 sets 1x, Djokovic +5.5 0.5x and Djokovic ML for 0.25x. I'm obviously not that confident on Djokovic and truthfully I WANT the match to go over 3.5 sets but I'm not willing to throw money back after a good two weeks on that either. I'll probably also live bet something if I get the chance.

I'll be more than happy if Nadal wins this one however as I really feel like he deserves it after going through some mental struggles during the past year. I just can't bring myself to lay the chalk or even take the handicap. If he keeps hitting into the service box and Djoko targets his forehand, he'll be in trouble as Djoko will tee off on him but there's no way for me to know that until the match starts. Same with Nadal's serving which has been amazing so far this fortnight. If he continues that today he'll present a massive problem for Djokovic despite him being the best returner in the game (in my opinion). Again I unfortunately don't have a crystal ball so I'm stuck. When in doubt I tend to take the dog who luckily for me happens to be a machine.

Moyal - I really should've just skipped this match totally or only bet points but at least we're not backing some woman who can have a breakdown at any time. Until Nadal beats the "New Novak" in a Slam, I can't lay chalk like that on him. He burned me enough last year as a dog.

My instinct would be to say yes but just like I said with the Fed/Djokovic match it seems too easy. Books like to prey on peoples' emotions especially in Slam Finals because many people will bet this match who never normally touch tennis. Everyone wants to see a long, epic match and that's what they're banking on us wanting. I'm not going to touch the total at all.
