Default Huge Bet on Radek Stepanek @ Monte-Carlo Rolex Masters

One of thing I like the most about Radek Stepanek is that he gets coached by Petr Kodark who was a former ranked #2. After getting coached by Kodark since late 2008, Radek has been playing his best tennis with won-lost record in 2009 is 19-6 which is much better than that of his opponent, Nicolas Lapentti's won-lost record in 2009 is 4-6.

Another important point that I like Radek to win in this contest is that he's playing at home court since he lives here in Monte-Carlo, Monaco so crowd absolutely gonna cheer for him during the match.

Also head to head record is 3-0 for Radek Stepanek

I have confident in Radek to win over Nicolas 2 sets to 1. Good luck all!

Dude, you're pushing your luck. Congrats on the Hewitt wins... but tennis is a sport with common dog victories.. and things can be decided by a hair.

Plus, this is clay..... where all hell breaks loose.

I wish you luck, but every year I see these clay matches open with marginal favorites.... basically meaning that nearly all of the matches could go either way.

    GL tho.

I know exactly what you're saying. It's bad for money management but I could not stop put down huge bet when I see a huge percentage of winning and go for it without hesitation.

I have to agree with MilfDriller but I see this one as a locked win as well.

Went with Lapentti here, got 3.9ish.

Stepanek really doesn't like Monte Carlo, he always does badly here (court speed? transition from hard?) before going on to do better on the faster courts of Rome and Roland Garros. I also think his form is dropping off after the indoor season.

Lapentti had nice quali wins over Bellucci and Youhzny, and is a decent clay courter. Also beat Starace and Cipolla last year here, so is fairly happy with the surface speed.

Tough loss. Stepanek looked really clumsy out there.

I just can't believe Stepanek made too many double fauls and unforced error.
