I'm still not sold on Djokovic in this tournament. His 2nd serve is going to get him in trouble if he doesn't improve. Although Simon might not have the weaponry to really make him pay. That should be a fantastic match. Hoping Djokovic gets a heavy fave tag.

Frenchie has hit one of his peaks again, but has yet to advance to a final. I think Ferrer has caught a couple guys on bad days in this tournament. If Gasquet whips out his serve like he did in rounds 1&2 (28 aces), he has a legit shot here. Figuring a 3 setter in this one.

I'm pretty sure Gasquet is throwing this match. I just watched him let a very returnable forehand from Ferrer go in for a winner and then he just tomahawked a backhand out. And another backhand just fired outside. What a pussy. That's what I get.

No opinion on that Koubek match man. I just don't know enough about either guy.

He's not throwing it, it's a typical Gasquet match. Gets bad start, lets himself down, not running for any points and giving up after the first set. He wasn't even challenging the one call on Ferrer's serve, after the umpire overruled it. That's Gasquet. Sucks to be a fan of his (backhand).

His volleys were horrible today, same for his approach shots and he's normally an awesome net player.

I guess. Some of those shots though I mean they were really iffy because he had a double break point on Ferrer down 3-0 and then proceeded to push a shot wide and then an easy volley he pushed just wide to get to deuce. He's a bitch, I think we can agree on that.

    Pick #11: Chardy +154
Chardy has the kind of big serve that has troubled Baghdatis in his career recently. Consistency is obviously the key for him to win this one. If his 1st & 2nd serve percentages stay on course with his first two rounds here, he's got a definite shot. Baghdatis has played fairly well here, but ran into a mental midget in Gulbis who brought a horrid serve that day & Sela who does not possess the same offensive weapons as Chardy. For the price, Chardy is right for me.

good pick for us eagle, if we want to have any chance of catching meganies, we need more of these 3 units swings.

Yeah, no kidding. I can't believe the prices Chardy has been getting this tournament. I figured after he beat Haas and then looked good in Round 2, he'd have a far worse price against Baghdatis.

Benesova = BeneSUCKED. Wow. I figured she'd at least give Pennetta a match. Guess I should stick to ATP mostly which I guess I do looking back at my picks.

I'm on Rochus, cos Korolev has zero patience and will get frustrated - and frankly Rochus' results have been better recently.

For Chardy-Fish, major thing for me is Chardy's awful first serve return, so don't like his chances of breaking. Don't see value in the straight result, but he's good in tiebreaks while Fish isn't, so if first set goes that way I'll bet inplay on him. Also going to hit the over23.

No idea what to make of Monfils, the odds aren't very attractive given his finals record.

watch both players yesterday, i cant see that result being any different, (i usually dont play lines over -160, really like monfils -2.5 games -110)

    korolev -144

it looks to me that big money being moved on korolev, just going with that.

    chardy +147

hoping that fish will feel the presure of getting close to win a title, if it was a final, that would not be i doubt in my mind, but still like the price on chardy.

staying away from wta this week, no matter what i would predict there the result would be different anyway.

    It's a 50/50 match imo.
Fish's returns were awful plus he hit a lot of his forehands way too long (I mean they nearly hit the wall). Plus his approach shots were horrible, Serra managed to pass him all the time. If you watched the final in San Jose, he's playing like after Stepanek's injury timeout (serve % average, many many unforced errors, going to the net at the wrong time). And Chardy's forehand>>>>Serra's forehand.

Expecting tie breakers here and Chardy has impressed me with his nerves here. Easy one to see who wins. He he does not get broken. Serving is everything to these two.

Chardy is doing the classic french fold job. Up a break at 3-1 in the first, he gets dominated from there to lose 6-4. Got broke in the 2nd down 3-1. Really thought he'd at least stretch Fish to some tie breaks, but his serve blows today.

Debated playing this one all day. I picked Almagro to win Acapulco though, so I'd be a punk ass if I didn't take him at a price here, correct?! With the surface/court (16-3 record for Almagro here) and Almagro playing better than recent weeks, I rate this closer to another 55-45 in favor of Monfils. So getting the larger spread for Almagro - I'll shoot myself in the head and do it.If Almagro can use his serve well, suprisingly it's been ace-full in a couple matches, he'll have a legit shot here.
