Hi guys,

From now on, you will see tennis in the SBR Sportsbook for major events only. This may include quarter finals and on in masters, or Grand Slams.

We're shaping our model to be more recreational, offering various promos forces some cutbacks, plus we're not able to manage tennis effectively due to the constant time changes. We'll still be more than happy to manage requests on a per-game basis if there's a rubberband play you've simply got to get down on, but that will be at the SBR Sportsbook's discretion. Shoot Dax a PM with similar requests.

Lame excuse man. Just find some Mods in different time zones that are able to post lines and keep up with stuff in Asia and Europe.I concur with the above posters. Its getting worse around here and it sucks ass..

It's not the time zones as I'm obviously here. It's the time changes as Lou said. Not only is it difficult for whomever is manning the book but we also have shot-takers galore trying to take advantage of matches left up after they start. It's always been that way but now SBR is finally doing something about it. Tennis obviously isn't like other sports where the schedule is set. So we spend our time replying to PMs and posts, and not only grabbing the feed, but watching scorelines so we know when to pull the next match down.

If you desperately want to bet a match, PM Dax as Lou said.

Then why cant you use Pinnacle's or 5 dimes feed for tennis? I understand people that take shots, but if had those "feeds" you would not have have to worry about any of that stuff.

all you have to do is set all of the matches to close at the time the first match is to begin

Can't you just have each line automatically close when the original match time hits? That's what BookMaker does. When the original match time hits it closes and stays closed whether the match actually started or not. 5Dimes and others obviously change the times, but we don't need you to do that. Just let us bet tennis.

this is lame. there are ways of solving this without taking away tennis from the sportsbook. Books are able to keep an eye on start times and adjust. There is always a mod on duty so why don't they do some work? instead sbr is taking away yet another privilege?

Guys there is a simple solution. You can go to the SBR Points subforum and deposit your points into one of the points books that posters have open in there. Most of them will let you use lines from ANY book, not just the horrible ones that SBR usually gets from DSI.

This way you don't have to wait for lines or see what is available. Whatever is up at a book is available. Easy fix.

Action starts a 1 pm in Shanghai, 1 am EST time. So wouldn't a simple solution be, just post all the lines and make them lock at 1?

give me 25 points a day and i will grade all wagers quickly in the tennis section. This is a big blow i feel. Like i said in another post betting points on tennis here as gave me a lot of confidence i can do it for real, which means i lose more at books which means you make money. As a big tennis guy yourself you should fight against this

there are 2.5 reputable posters who accept points bets with 5dimes' abundant tennis lines.

you can find those two threads that are points sportsbooks in the sbrspoints section of this forum.

the .5 is a new points book thread for tennis only but payouts are guaranteed for now.

Yeah but one guy takes forever to process a payout or update balances. The other has juice limits and talks about losing so much I don't know how stable his book is. I'd rather just play at the SBR book even though it has ridiculously higher juice most of the time. No stability worries and I can cashout immediately whenever I want.

i would prefer the same if it were possible. but as you can see from the original post- it is even less possible now than before. there are lots of advantages to betting the actual SBR book.

Yeap, We only need to have tennis no matter if you close the match 20 minutes before the match starts.
