Default BetJamaica website has no ENCRYPTION *wow*

BetJam is not encrypting their logins to their website nor anything else. If you have a sniffer on an open network you can easily grab login credentials.

Can someone from SBR contact them to fix this. This is unacceptable especially with so many bettors using wireless connections.

5dimes & bookmaker are not encrypting logins either.

Wow...someone sniffs your login credentials and runs your account down--you have no recourse.

    UPDATE:
    Bodog is encrypting login information.

    UPDATE 2:
I have verified that BetJamaica is not using encryption. Your username/password are passed as plain text to their servers.

    UPDATE 3:
I just verified that bookmaker is also passing username/password in plain text.

    UPDATE 4:
    5dimes is not encryting username/passwords.

    Nice catch.

Thats one of the things I always check before joining a book. Those little details are VERY important. The other one is this thing of having to tell your password to the clerk, wtf, that is like 1980's way of running things. Put a secret question and answer or some like that.

Make us feel a bit safe.

I think BetPhoenix doesnt encrypt their password either. Legends does it, but not until after they get your password, so anyone listening to their default page will get them. Little details SBR could look at.

What if they run your account up? Turn the casino/s off if you don't use them. Some peace of mind anyway.

I am hopeful SBR can contact them and have them put SSL encryption in place. It is quite trivial and should not take very long.

The bad thing is if someone did sniff your credentials and drain your account. Would the books really care?

Definitely needed, but guessing some would take it as too much work.
