Default Netspend/All access Visa

Is this the same shit?

Looking on the netspend website, it appears to be the same thing. Well, at least the card is Visa at least...so I wasnt sure.

Also, what info. do I have to give for a netspend card? I mean, its a freakin pre-paid card....why would they need more than a name and address? On the netspend website, it says that all US citizens need to provide a social security number for the card! Fvck that shit!

Seriously, why would they need a SS #? I thought the whole point of a pre-paid/netspend card was to be anonymous and just use it till its empty.

Does anyone with experience with netspend/pre-paid Visa cards know a way around this by not having to give a SS #?? A phone number or date of birth....I can live with that. A SS# for a pre-paid card is a bit much for me.

So whats up with this strict REQUIREMENT? Would I be better off with Western Union or Moneygram??

For what its worth, I am in the USA and want to give as little information as possible to these offshores....kinda like how someone was saying that he wouldn't trust someone in Kingston with his DL.

Thanks in advance!

Garry

Its a way of confirming that the card u purchase can be linked to your bank accounts to transfer funds from one to another, you may also reload it with your Paypal account (to what I understand) so they need to confirm that you are the proper owner.

Western Union or MoneyGram can be used up to certain amount of $$ daily ... while Netspend can be loaded up to $5000 daily.

garry,

for what it is worth, all prepaid cards require personal information such as ssn and dob.

It is a banking reg more than any other issue.

I guess its because you're using Reloadable... but I buy these cards all the time and never had to give any information.

I go to a local store, buy a 50 or 100 dollar All Access Card....drive back home 10 minutes later, deposit onto BetJamaica or Poker Stars and it goes through. I don't even know when you enter any information, as I don't at all.

They get your info and then send you a permanent card card with your name on it. The one you buy is only a temporary card and you can only load like 2.5k max. On the permanent card you can load whatever you want. Also, with the permanent card you just pay a reload fee which is 5 dollars cheaper than buying another one. A lot of books will reiumburse you those fees.
