Matchbook and moneygram issues
Does anyone have any insight on the problems with Matchbook not being able to process moneygram deposits? Any idea if they will ever be able to accept them again?

I'm sure at some point Matchbook will be able to process MoneyGrams once again, however I'm not sure as to when offhand sir.

For right now I'd say just use bank wire or the new option they're integrating.

I was going to use MG today but found out it was no longer accepted and don't want to wait 7+ days for a bank wire to clear so hopefully the netspend card will work once I get it loaded.

I am disgusted with Matchbook, asked for a fedex payout 8/11...still nowhere to be found and now they said it was sent out regular mail.

That was a few days ago, I think it has gotten worse since then. This aint good news people. If moneygram is not an option right before football then matchbook could very well dry up.
I cant believe they were using a company in the USA in the first place. What did they expect would happen? This is going to drive a lot of people away from offshore books for good. This is as big as losing Neteller, maybe bigger because there are no other options. When Neteller left there was still moneygram. Now there is nothing to fund your account same day.

I agree. I wish I knew what was going to happen, but I don't. The MB option seems flawed from what I've read elsewhere, before the threads get deleted. I'm afraid to use that or MG at this time, CC's never work, I don't use wires, echecks are a rarity, not much left.
It's looking very bad.

Why use matchbook if ur having problems
Look at a different book that can offer you this option.

MB is essential for great lines. Might as well quit without them.

Exactly. I'm not going back to paying -110 when I average no juice at all to -102 at matchbook.
This is big people, it could be the end.

They are accepting wire transfers, book to book, and credit/debit card if you can find one that works. Maybe call them and ask them what kind of visa gift card would work on their site. Maybe that is a solution.

This could be bad for forums, too. Why should a book pay to advertise when customers can't deposit w/o a bunch of BS.
I think many players will just not reload, either quit entirely or use a local.
Not a good time to be a forum Mod.

I tried that Netspend shit once, it doesn't work, I won't use WU. It was bad after NT, with no MG, there is almost no way left to deposit.

Looks like Bush and the Republicans are getting their way. They won't quit until the sportsbooks have no way to send and receive funds. Don't you all feel safer now? Old Ben Franklin was right: give up your freedom for safety and you'll end up with neither.
There are many people on this board who insist on voting for the Republicans which continues to baffle me. We aint any safer and now we're losing our freedoms. Why the heck would anybody vote for a senile McCain who doesn't even know how to use a computer for god's sake! And the guy wants to start World War III over Georgia? I'm glad I'm past the military Draft age. Good luck to the rest of you

If you want to deposit at matchbook, call them and ask which cards will work and ask about limits of the card, etc. I have a feeling they will probably get the MG thing worked out but who knows. I'm sure they are working on it diligently b/c football is right around the corner. The 1% baseball thing really worked to get their liquidity up now they need to come up with something before football starts.
Matchbook is my favorite book I hope they can get something worked out.
hoopster they wouldnt have the football matchups up yet anyway. They were never a book to get things up early.

if you can't plan your gambling out 48 hours in advance, i'd say go with a local or quit.

Moneybookers has been an excellent replacement for Neteller.
Matchbook offers unlimited free withdrawals via moneybookers.
For those of you in free countries, I'd recommend using moneybookers.

It never dawned on you that may be because you dont live in USA? Wires from the USA to matchbook take 5-7 business days I was told.
And no I can't move and I'm sure 99% of the other people who live in the USA can't move.
And most people dont know any reliable locals that offer anywhere close to the limits and options you can get online.

I am from the US. I bank in the USA. I am a US citizen. As far as matchbook is concerned everything I am is from the USA. My checks are sent to the US. My wires are thus sent from the USA, no different from you.
I suggest finding a better bank.

I have personally never done a bank wire to any book. 5-7 business days is the time matchbook quoted me.
I dont need to deposit, I'm just concerned about matchbook's future so I called to ask what their deposit options were. They said credit card, bank wire, and book to book transfer. I asked about MG and WU and they said they didn't know when these options would be available again. I am afraid if these options are gone for good matchbook will lose a lot of liquidity and could possibly be forced out of the US market along with many other books.
Its one thing to have to change processors frequently to pay people but when books cant get money coming in then its over.
Some people call me a pessimist although I have always known myself to be a realist.
