Need some advise here regarding SBOBET, Is it a safe bookmaker, any problem with payout? There is not much detail on SBOBET if have rating also very low.Find the soccer odd very attractive.

SboBet (Not rated) one of the biggest Asian books out there. They are mainly used for soccer and do offer some nice odds, not to mention the fact that offer pretty high limits. However, they do offer other sports to wager on like cricket, tennis, basketball, ect, ect. They are not licensed to my knowledge, but they have an outstanding reputation.

As far as payouts go. I don't know of any outstanding complaints levied against them or processing issues at this time. In fact SBR poster pjesnik24 reported he received a payment from them on 7/7/08 and HeeeHAWWWW received one on 7/27/08

I'm a newbie here and I write in this forum for a bad situation. Sbobet is a bookmaker where you can place very high stakes without any problem and where you have live betting for every kind of soccer league.

But that is not enough to say this is a great bookmaker as most of people says. A great bookmaker pays attention also to those little things that are very useful for a punter. I mean, they don't have any live chat and their customer care usually answer you with kind of broadcast answers. Then we want to talk about their live "danger balls"? I've seen bets still pending when there was a throw-in in the half of pitch of the team that was attacking. You will tell me that's because they need to cover their live-bets before they accept the one of the punters. But does it look like a professional way of being bookmaker? And i didn't say that when a live-bet is accepted usually the odd they're offering is gone up of some points, and they use to accept just the "old" odd. This means huge lost of profit for a punter.

Now I'm gonna show you some situations that will give you the example of those little things that Sbobet uses to threat like a E ranked bookmaker.

I had a bet last night on Bayern Munich-Germany. As you know, the match was suspended for more than 10 minutes at 75th minute to let Oliver Kahn say goodbye to their fans and to football. When it started again Sbobet had 32' 2hf as timing. But referee after 3 minutes said it was enough, and it was FT. Me, thinking there was an ordinary football match of 90 minutes (half time whistle was at 45th minute without any injury time added) i placed two bets of €300,00 on Over2.5 at 2.14 after the game started again. And when the match was over their odds for Under/Over market were 2.35 for Over2.5 and 1.60 for Under2.5. So they didn't expect that early finish too.

To me, a bet on a football match is valid if the match stands for 90'plus injury time. Here we didn't reach 80 minutes! But for Sbobet the bet is settled as lost!

At 2nd half 33rd minutes, Oliver Kahn went out the field and the time was still counted as in-play but had not been stopped. After the 7th minutes, it was played for another 5 minutes to finish the game. Hence, the 2nd half for the game is totally played for 45 minutes.

Furthermore, we have stated the rules for friendly match, which may not in 90 minutes played, but sometimes it can be finished at 80th finished for bets to stand. Kindly refer to our Soccer Rules no. no.2 under Sport Betting Rules.

Their Soccer rule n. 2 says

2. All soccer match bets will be settled on the result of full 2x45 minutes of play including the added injury or stoppage time, unless otherwise stated. This does not include the extra-time, golden goals and penalty shoot-outs, or a match result which was altered by the official referee/committee after the match. Occasionally some Tournaments or Friendly matches are scheduled to be played for 2x40 minutes, so all bets will be settled at the end of the scheduled time. There are some youth or friendly matches that will be played for 2 x 35 minutes or less, SBO will announce this kind of matches before the start of the game, otherwise all soccer match bets taken on these matches will be considered VOID.

If first half ended at 45th minute without any injury time added how could have been this match of 80 minutes? A half of 45' and another one of 35'?

So this is first non-sense answer

But this is not the only situation I had with them.

During Holland-Russia, European Championship, I made a live bet, when the match was still 0-1, on Over4.5 Bookings at 1.87 of € 500,00. As they're (bad) used to do, they let me hold some time (and the odd for over went up to 2.10.. so i had already lost more than 100,00 € of potential winning..) to accept the bet.

But the best is yet to come. Holland scored the draw, so I expect the bet as void, since the score changes and I wouldn't have bet if the score was 1-1. And what do they do? THEY ACCEPT THE BET!

If they do void bets on Asian Handicap or Under/Over when there is a goal why they shouldn't void for Total Bookings or Total Corner bets? Where is written they can do it? Nowhere!

I agree totally with you regarding the live betting. I have had them sit on a bet for 1 minute before which is just stupid but its not just SBOBet that does it, 188bet, Mansion88 and 12Bet all sit on them for up to 60 seconds. On the other side i have had live bets taken straight away.

The Bayern Munich v Germany game you are refering to i also placed a bet in running just after Bayern scored to make it 1-1. My bet was for Germany to win at 5.40 and it was accepted and settled as a loser by 188Bet.

Yes, I've noticed the same. I think if they watch the event on TV, and the ball is not in "danger" zone, they will accept the bet immediatly. On other events, which are not coveraged by TV, you have to wait up to 60 seconds, whatever where is the ball.. it can be annoying, I have already made at least 200 bets at 188bet, I have 3 cancelled OVER bets due to danger-goal situation.... I was not too happy

full time was 1:1 after 90 minutes played but the problem he is referring to is that the game had a long break, some 15 minutes, when Kahn was being substituted because it was his last game. The ref did not add these 15 minutes so he believes that the game was only played 75-80 minutes.
All the bookies, including pinnacle normally graded this event so it is not really an Asian bookie fault. Also Bwin and others who had it in their offer...

I lost some money there because I played on Bayern but won a bit more on UNDER 4,25 goals so I do not complain :-)
