Default Sportingbet did not refund me

I bet 50£ yesterday in Rosenborg and they lost. It was supposed to receive a refund because they had a promotion saying that, however they did not give it to me. I asked in the live chat but nothing occured.

Takes 'em a while, officially within 48 hrs.
Just keep bugging them if they haven't paid you after 48hrs.

First off, Welcome to the SBR forum sir.

As APK mentioned above, it can take up to 48 hours. So it's best just to wait out the timetable. If they still don't rectify within the allotted time, then you can feel free to fill out a complaint form and one of us will inquire on your behalf.

They are doing this to many people. They claim the offer is only open to recreational players.

The problem they have is their system cannot filter out the customers they dont want to give the offer too , so they mass mail the data base and add a term which states they can change the offer any time they wish.

My refund was refused (I had the offer by mail) , but I had expected it to be all along because I am limited, I was just chancing it.

"Simply place your first bet (min £10) on any European Football match".

I got the 50€ for betting on a Champions League match.
I wonder how they determine whether someone is a recreational player though, since I've got limits on my account as well and still received the 50€.

Best to e-mail before placing bet, and asking if you qualify for the free 50 bet. If you get it confirmed maybe you'll be alright.

Can you give an indication what your betting pattern is?
What sort of matches do you bet on?
    What kinda stakes?

I've been betting there on matches with dropping odds and although I've got certain (or uncertain) limits on my account I can still bet the odd few hundred euros on a selection in big soccer leagues.

I haven't used Sportingbet for a few weeks now, as they started cutting my bets back - I'm by no means a highroller, but when you ask for 20 pounds on a 12/1 shot (because they're going best price) and they cut you back to 3 quid it's time to look elsewhere. The only reason that I had the 50 football bet, is because they e-mailed me, addressing the e-mail to me personally, quoting my username and account number. I don't use Sportingbet for football betting as a rule as they never offer best price on anything!!!

Well I have to give credit where it's due - I felt very hard done by with Sportingbet's decision not to give me a free 50 pound bet, after having lost 50 pounds on their "Risk free 50 pound football bet". I made my feelings felt in this, and other forums. After a lot of correspondence, and climbing up the ladder with my legitimate complaint, I received an e-mail today, 20th August from the CUSTOMER BONUS TEAM at Sportingbet, saying that the 50 pound bonus has been credited to my account. My advise to others - stick at it!!!

I've had exactly the same problem with Sportingbet. They sent me an email, with my account username and number in the body, offering me a risk free £50 bet based on a refund if my bet lost. My bet lost and then they refused the refund.

My complaints to Sportingbet got me nowhere so I complained to their licensing authority, the Alderney Gambling Control Commission, and within 24 hours I received my refund. I would recommend that anyone who has had the same problem do the same as what Sportingbet is doing is not far from stealing in my opinion and they shouldn't be allowed to get away with it.

They said me on their live chat that they don't cut the limits...does it mean that they are liars?

I complained to the regulator and sbet refunded me grudgingly but i had to bet it through - i did, and won, and now they have seized the funds and closed the account. They are simply theives.

Sportingbet kindly gave me a refund, I bet it through once, withdrew what winnings I could. 1 month later I can't bet on horses or football (not even 25p!). Contacted livechat who said it was a traders decision and as the funds are bonus funds I can't withdraw them either. I'm now unable to meet their WR. Is it worth a complaint (this obviously isn't an unusal problem with this outfit) or should I try alternative sports?
