Default What the Average Revenue of a Top Online Sportsbook?

How much money does the top books like Pinnacle, TheGreek, and Bookmaker earn in an average year?

*Tens of millions, hundreds of millions, billions, etc?

(meant to say what's)

They have a hold % of about 4% on total handle. How much handle each takes is a pretty guarded secret. But you can look up the total handle for the Vegas books. There are about 125 licenses out there and they post their handle. I would say that these places are small compared to some of these places like Pinny, Cris or Olympic.

What are you classifying as turnover. Total handle? Total monies wagered over the entire year?

The figure I quoted was from the article I've pasted. The figure is ALL turnover including casino. i was staggered by that figure, if you'd given me 5 guesses I wouldn't have gone that high.

When pinnacle pulled out of the US, a few articles said they profited $250 million the year before. I have no idea how accurate that is. Keep in mind their hold is less than half of many books, if that gives you an idea of how much volume they do.

But 7 billion is a staggering figure and it makes you wonder what the total would be from the entire US market.

Profit? really? That's a quarter of a billion profit a year. Not many companies that do that.

What amazes me is if a spotsbook can "hold" $50 million out of billions wagered, why on earth would they cheat a player out of a five figure payout like some of the lower rated books have?

Because those books are out to basically steal a players money. What you've got to remember is offshore gambling is a magnet for legit companies and crooks alike, no different to second-hand car sales.

I'd say net bottom line would be in the mid 10's of millions for the avg top tier book.
