Default Don't use bodog

I've been waiting two months for a payout, all I get is the runaround. Now they tell me it's going to be another 40 business days... 4 months for a payout? Which will probably never come? If you're looking for a sportsbook, keep looking...

First off, Welcome to the SBR forum sir

Bodog has been having some processing issues for a little while now. Hopefully they will get this problem straightened out soon enough. Once they correct that issue I feel confident they you will receive your funds.

Called about the debit card, at first they acted like they didn't know what i was talking about. Then they said that promotion ended on thursday. No, doesn't sound fishy at all... what a mistake doing business with this shady book.

Been waiting 2 months myself. But they keep telling me "yours will be sent out with next batch"....... just wish they'd be more honest with me.

Wish I could get the debit card but it's only available to those who were offered. I wasn't one.

bodog is a fine book IMO. You will get paid. I have been paid numerous times along with my friend they are just slow at it. Used to be fast before the laws cracked down. Good book for beginners IMO as they normally offer 1/2 points toward the underdogs all the time.

Guess I was one of the lucky ones that was offered the debit card from Bodog. Didn't know you could not request it.

I was offered the debit card...I was going to activate it until they wanted my social security number and too much information for Costa Rica...also...the card carries fees for just about everything including balance inquiries...withdrawals,deposits and daily activity...thats crazy...Bodog has went downhill since the scumbag Calvin, the old company owner sold it...possibly tied to sportsbook.com imo...

Even if you have the card. They are taking 14-17 days to put money on the card on average.

anytime anyone mentions "Bodog sucks" people ALWAYS chime in and say "dont worry they are great never had a problem"

4 month slow pay is ridiculous

Calvin is long gong...who knows?

anyone could be running that book....they already lost their original domain name

absolutely, i can't attest to other peoples experience, but mine has been awful. too bad pinny bailed, because that was the best... bodog has ridiculous juice, the worst customer service, and doesn't payout. each time i send an email or call, i get a different response back. the latest is 40 days from the time the payout was approved, which means i should get it the first week of august apparently. stay tuned...

Often complaints about them, wouldnt trust them with a steady bank roll. Time is money, and they dont always get the job done in a reasonable time frame.

I was offered a debit card as well -- haven't received it yet. I've played Bodog the last three years - alternately with Diamond and a local - and Bodog has gone downhill very fast. I wouldn't deposit much more than a dime or two, particularly when there are much better books available.

A major processor for Bodog stopped servicing them after already holding up transactions. This meant Bodog has to reroute funds including their own. The processor service is part of the book and player experience. These issues are not an excuse. I think what players are saying when they say Bodog will pay and it will be ok, is that you can be confident you will get your money. We would all agree that you wouldn't want to send them funds until their bottleneck is straightened out and the process is tested.

Most players who contacted SBR are already being taken care of. If you haven't already, please send SBR your account number. We intend to follow the process of SBR reader withdrawals.

I left Bodog 2 1/2 years ago because of the same problem....I waited over 4 months for a payout that wasn't even that big. To me it became all about principal, it took 2 seconds to provide all my personal information and deposit money into my account, but when it came time to withdrawal funds it became this major issue. I was told I had to provide security information because my 1st credit card deposit didn't match my current account information. I tried explaining to them I just switched banks so the other card information no longer exist, the bank account had been closed. They still needed some record of the account, so I had to go back to my former bank have them pull up my old records and provide me with a previous statement. After that was faxed I waited and received nothing, so I called them back and was told I had to send in more security information. I then had to fax them my credit card front/back, license, passport picture, and social security card, I think that is it....in all I sent them a 9 page fax. My problem is if you are that concerned about my security these measures should have been taken before the initial deposit ever took place, if you are really that concerned about my security. Once again it's no problem to get money in the site but when it comes time to get it out, good luck. So I contacted customer service back and they told me the check was on the way. The 1st week went by and no check....I made it a point to call them weekly and ask the same questions over and over, it became so repetitive I would answer the security questions right before I knew he was about to ask them. After over 17 weeks of "it's on the way", and 10 different stories about why the funds haven't been sent I finally got a truthful answer. They were having the same problem as it sounds they are having now. That answer the 1st time would have been acceptable, but sending my through the ringer and giving me every excuse under the sun was not worth my business or my stress. It's already stressful enough to have to pick the right games, pay the juice, then pay for the check, after all that I expect my money yesterday....It's a one time shot with me, I understand sites will have problems and issues. But tell me up front of the situation, I look at it like being a business partnership we make money and lose money together. That's one of the main reasons I moved to Vegas, my worse nightmare was waking up to log into my sportsbetting account and the site message saying server not found. The site closing down without waring and taking my money with them.

it's fairly obvious that this is not a one time occurance. where there's smoke, there's fire... a repeated pattern of seriously long payout delays. excuse after excuse, it's just bad business. perhaps i'm no expert, but in my opinion, it's very important for a book to be very diligent about paying out, otherwise people will talk, and customers will walk. they aren't the only game in town, but they act as though they are.

I have just done a £3000.00 withdrawal via Moneybookers and it took 1 hour,I don't believe there is any problem with BoDog funds.

I don't know why anybody would want to sign up with Bodog. They have one of the worst odds in the industry. Probably the worst. And they won't allow you to parlay some of the matches that they feel underdog doesn't have a chance to win the game.

That must depend on what you bet on then as they often have by far the best odds on some sports.

yes, their odds truly do suck... but as a US player, they seemed like a safer book to deal with, as in, i trusted they would pay out. whether that will happen or not, that remains to be seen, but people keep telling me don't worry, it will come eventually.

website is pretty nice, funding is easy... but the juice is a joke, should be illegal. i've seen federer at -5000 and his scrub opponent at +1000.

To those of you that have filed a no pay complaint:

How soon after did you get your check from Bodog? And does SBR get your personal info through it or just your acct#?

I filed a complaint awhile ago and have heard nothing from SBR or Bodog since. Of course no payment either.

they are paying out netellers and moneybookers in a matter of minutes right now.

i suggest you people move to a country with less gov't intervention in all aspects of your lives

and bodog's off market lines are only bad if you hate money

I hope you realize that is almost the exact same juice as many of the -115/-115 props the Greek and others put up.

huh? just take a look at any of the lines, not even close. i'm not talking about props. Let's look right now... Federer/Ginepri at Cincinnati.

Bodog has Federer -3300, Ginepri +1000
5Dimes has Federer -1150, Ginepri +800

Not even in the ballpark. Bodogs juice is the worst in the industry of any of the major books.

You should probably read Ganchrow's post on theoretical hold before you start quoting those lines as evidence of high juice. Anderson-Bolleli has FAR higher juice than the Federer match you just quoted, as does Kiefer-Simon.
