I just wanted to try out bet365 and made a small small deposit of 10 euro. They gave me a 10 euro bonus too. So i made one bet 10 to win 8 and another (with the bonus) 10 to win 0.30 Euro ( ). When I tried to log on minuted later after I won both bets I could`t access the account and it said "ACTSTA". I contacted their live support.

So when I signed up with oly-did they close my account after my deposit? no.
When you sign up with a sportsbook and make a deposit you want to make some plays right away or do you accept that they keep your money, send you some shitty letter and they allow you to play with you OWN money after you told them the code for which you waited days. Once again, they don`t send the code by email. They send it by regular mail from England to Germany which takes days.
Imagine you buy something on ebay. You send the seller your money. After he received it he doesn`t send you your stuff. He tells you that he will send you a verification code by mail and asks you to send you the code by email. Now you have to wait days for the code to arrive. After you told him the code he sends you the stuff.
Once again the point is neither the id nor the phone number - it is waiting for the shitty code and until i get it i can`t access the account

Why don`t they mention that prior to the sign up process? Why do they allow people to sign up and then suspend the account. Ok, I will open up a sportsbook at the end of the world, keep the money of my customers and tell them to wait for my verification letter which i will send out after weeks

You're being a whiny newbie here. You should be prepared to give ID to any book you want to play at if they ask.

1. I signed up
2. I made a deposit for checking them out
3. I made two bets
4. I won both bets
5. My account was suspended
6. I was told to send in my id (by mail or fax) - no problem
7. I was told to provide my phone number - no problem
8. I was told they send me a post verification code by regular mail (not by email) - the letter includes a code which I have to tell them via livechat - no way. It will be the end of the week or beginning of next week until i receive the letter
9. I told them to send me back the 10 euro by moneybookers and close my account.
10. I was told that even for that they want the pvc.

BET365 stick with the lousy 10 Euro and 18 in winnings. If you had such a bad Euro campaign I feel glad to support you with some coins.

What's absolutely retarded is not allowing the player to WAGER in the meantime. If he hasn't proven identity, then put a hold on a withdrawal, or at least on a withdrawal of winnings, but I can't even think of a reason not to let the player keep betting once he's informed of what he'll need to do to withdraw.

Its pretty common for a book to suspend action whilst it verifies ID , saves problems if the customer turns out to be a gnome.

That was never the problem. Id verification takes one day but a pvc around 7 days.
Funny thing is i told them to close the accout and stick with the coins and they said they can`t without the verification and pvc.

My shit is saved on my computer in a separate folder entitled "Scans of gaming financial documents" or something like that. I update it quarterly, more or less, since the dates on the bank statements, utility bills, cell phone bills, etc. will get old.

Requiring ID/verification to withdraw is normal, but not to make bets. I remember I moved and updated my address at The Greek and they responded that they also needed a utility bill from my old residence. I forgot about it until several months later and never had a problem making plays. I suppose it could be different if I just set up a new account though.

If you ever clicked on withdraw at any point a message would have popped up that you need to finish the KYC procedure. So it isn't just when you win, that's always there until you finish the procedure. Had you finished the procedure while you were playing like you should have, you wouldn't be having this problem right now.

If a book wants to verify information by having the player send documents, then that is their prerogative.

It is also the prerogative of the player to say "no thanks, this is too much of a hassle or is too invasive" and walk away if he doesn't trust the book.

The key issue is trust.

Of course the books don't want to get scammed, but at the same time we know there are many sportscrooks out there. I'll submit there are also disgruntled employees at widely trusted books who might decide to do a little online identity theft with your documents.

So you basically have to reach to some sort of balance of trust with the book, and the book with you.

For books, maintaining a reputation of credibility along with providing good customer service is very important.

In this case, this book is pissing this guy off because he logged into his account and Surprise, Surprise! he can't bet anymore until he jumps through a bunch of hoops. He's pissed because he didn't know about the jumping through hoops part until after he signed up. If he knew beforehand, he could have decided if it was a deal-breaker or not for him and acted accordingly.

Does this book inform players of the necessary hoops they need to jump through before they sign up?

If they don't, they probably should. And don't bury it in fine print at the bottom of a long-ass TOS page; instead, clearly spell out: these are the hoops you must jump through to play at this book.

I would think books would want to do this process in the least painful manner possible to the player because otherwise some amount of new sign-ups will say "this is horseshit" and go to another book.

I'm with german on this one. This sounds like just another example of the bad and unethical tactics too many books use. The greater shame of it is how many of you are willing to jump to their defense. The more of you who think it's accpetable for books to treat their customers--old and new alike--like disposal diapers the longer and more aggressive they'll continue to treat players poorly.

Had this happened to me, I'd be really annoyed and would never play with that book again. I have accounts at four books now and have been with over a dozen; I've been playing online for close to two decade. What bet365 is doing is horseshit.
