BetPhoenix request
BetPhoenix is my 2008 pick for rising offshore star. Check out their new website (guest/guest will get you in). Low juice (sides and totals), great parlay payouts, book-to-book transfers with select books, knowledgeable CS on live chat. Very good first impression for me.
They're in San Jose. Any way that SBR can arrange for some pictures of their operation?

I was going to test the waters when BetPhoenix first opened, but decided to pass at the time. They had some funding issues they needed to resolve because they were not too U.S. friendly.
Who do they do book-to-book transfers with and what other funding methods to they currently offer U.S. players?

Thanks for the great review. A lot of work has gone into improving and expanding our operation and it is always nice to hear positive feedback.
We have some of the best talent in the industry as part of our staff, we are especially proud of our head line manager Fernando (formerly head line manager of Hollywood Sports).
Our goal is to continue this trend of improvements by adding new features and services, such as our soon to be launched interactive casino.
We appreciate any feedback good and bad; it can only help us improve.

First off, Welcome to the SBR forum sir
I am fairly familiar with your establishments background in regards to being a DSI spin-off. Since your here maybe you can would be so kind enough to answer a few question the SBR posters might have for you, and I'll start.
1. What books do you do book-to-book transfers with and what are the fees?
2. What are your withdraw fees on MoneyGram and Western Union transactions?
3. Do use dual vig type lines still for your profiled players?

Hi Bigboydan, thanks for the opportunity to tell you a little more about our outfit
To answer your questions:
1. What books do you do book-to-book transfers with and what are the fees?
At this time we only do transfers with BetCris and DSI, we don't discard the possibility of expanding this but at the present we only deal with them.
2. What are your withdraw fees on MoneyGram and Western U
Withdrawal fees on Money Gram and Western Union are always covered by the customer. Maximum amount per transaction with WU is $700 and it will cost $62, Max amount with MG is $2000 and it will cost $150.
We also offer Payouts by Check mailed to the player, maximum amount per check is $2000 and we offer a free payout every 30 days if it’s done by check, every other check has a fee of $50, 3rd withdrawal on a 7 day period is subject to additional fees.
3. Do use dual vig type lines still for your profiled players?
We do have dual line sets we have the reduced -105 and the regular -110, the difference with us is we give the customer the choice when they sign up. For those interested in receiving the reduced juice we offer them a standard sign up bonus of 15% on any deposit over $300. For those who wish to take advantage of our higher bonuses that can add up to 50% of their initial deposit they will receive the -110 line set.

Thanks for being so prompt on answering my questions sir, tis appreciated.
I do have one other question. It's actually a question that this threads originator had asked a while back. Would your company be interested in taking part on the sbrodds service?

Am I missing something here--I hope i am wrong, but BP still doesn't show NT or MB as a deposit option.
If this is not true I hope the rep will correct me.
If they can offer these ewallets they might be worth a look. I said this months ago. I like the model, but its too hard work ( vs other books) to get money in and out.
It just can't be that much trouble to add the two most recognized ewallets in the gambling world.

I'd echo Katsale's post, it amazes me that some books don't try and appeal to non-US players, especially in the current environment when they're a much safer proposition.

DMTexas, what's the max number of bets in a round robin?
Edit - This question had a weird, riddler-esque sound to me. Then I realized why: what's the max number of bats in a round robin?

Correct Mr.Frank... That is what I meant to post in the first place.
Katstale, I just naturally assumed they had those solutions in place by now, but I guess not. They definitely need to get those two funding methods in place, especially when they advertise in overseas magazines like they do.

Lines don't load right now. Too early with my praise. Will monitor in next few months. If they do get it together in time, this would be a nice NFL out.

Hi guys,
Sorry I was out of the office all day yesterday and it’s been a busy day so far, I’ll make a point of letting you know the next time I’ll be out so you can hold your questions or at least know my response will be delayed.
Ok, so Bigboydan, Yes we may be interested in taking part in the SBRlines service, we’ll take a look at it for sure.
And sorry if I misunderstood your question the other day, the answer is no, the line you see posted on Don Best or Sports Options is the line. We believe everyone deserves to be treated the same way, and Fernando is very adamant about giving everyone the same line. Now the one thing I cannot stress enough to our customers is please refresh the page before you place your bet, our lines move though out the day and just because we had a line 3 minutes ago there is no guarantee it will the same now.
To Dark Horse, yes that sounds very interesting as well, I’ll make sure we look into the interbook transfers at matchbook, we’ve actually had a couple of clients ask us about it in the last few weeks so you just saved me a little research time…
Also for our round robins, we can take up to 16 team RR split into 10 team parlays, but for a bet like that you will need to call in, our web interface is not set up for a bet that complicated.
Can you please explain to me what you meant by the lines not loading? I want to make sure we look into that.
To Katstale and Santo, I hear your concerns and rest assured we are diligently working on that, our CFO just got back from a 3 week business trip relating to this, so I can honestly say we will have those options and hopefully a few others in place before the start of the football season.
And RickySteve, valid point thanks for the observation, will get on that right away.
As I said before, we appreciate the feedback

I'm not a client, yet, Dan. But seriously considering BetPhoenix for upcoming NFL season. Would be hard not to. Low juice, great parlay payouts, props, and, hopefully, easy money transferring in the near future.
DMTexas, the lines didn't load at one point earlier this week. Also, I tried signing up, but application was never processed. Timing not important at this point, but some concerns about reliability of website.

DMTexas, so 15 team RR split into 2 or 3 team parlays isn't a problem at all? And the parlays keep the low juice, right?

DMTexas,
Do you tolerate professional players?
Also, if a player beat you out of $50k, how much would you charge in him withdrawal fees if he wanted his money paid in a 30-day period?

I noticed for your deposit page it shows:
Money Transfer
Person 2 Person
Pay By Call
Person 2 Person Vietnam
I assume the first two options (money transfer and person 2 person) is WU and MG
What is the Pay By Call option?

Hi everyone,
To Sergfro-The pay by call was an option that was presented to us, we will probably remove it in the next few days from the site, I have concerns of how reliable an option it will actually be in the coming months.
To Justin7-We do take professional players, however new professional players are subject to our line manager team’s approval.
All of our line managers are pretty confident here, they all have a lot of experience so they have no problem taking pro action but it’s up to them to determine how much action they wish to take from any player, so limits may vary from player to player.
As for cashing out the winnings, it all depends, if the customer received a bonus we would have to calculate rollover requirements etc, and also it all depends on the method used to cash out the winnings.
And Dark Horse, the limit on deposit/withdrawals for book to book transfers depends on the account settings with each book, once we have those set up we’ll be able to better define those limits.

One of those two ewallets are a must have these days, preferably moneybookers for potential Canadian customers. I personally feel all the red tape BetPx would have to go through would be worth it over the long haul in regards to more business for them.

Yes we cater to the Asian market; in addition to our Vietnamese book we have a Chinese book.
So customers who speak either language can call up and speak to someone in their native tongue.
We of course have English and Spanish speaking reps and are looking to add more languages in the future as we expand.
