    Default Lets talk Sportsbook Software

What software platform do you think needs the most improvement?

    ASI

I happen to like this software. It's pretty user friendly IMO

    BLR Technologies

I feel this product needs a complete overhaul, because lots of issues from what I've noticed. The sick part is they did try to improve it fairly recently

    Digital Gaming

I think this software is ok, but could stand to use some revamping.

    Proprietary

This software I've noticed is a bit shoty at times, but not bad overall IMO.

Which category would Linesmaker software fall under? Believe it or not although they're a little shady sometimes they have a really really nice userface.

Even though I have no idea what those mean I think this is a good thread...

I don't know what kind of software these books use but I like WagerStreets and Linesmakers... The new BookMaker is better although they probably didn't change their platform...

I saw it after I posted mine and laughed... I do remember you saying right away actually that you liked their software...

I think TONY'S is ok for being basic...

You know.... actually.... CWooo isn't bad either... one screen for amount and password...

CWooo software isn't bad in that it's simple, but they should adopt Linesmakers colors scheme.

    Proprietary

This software I've noticed is a bit shoty at times, but not bad overall IMO.

ASI: Pretty flexible and user friendly, good for straight bets, ifs, simple parlays, and reverses, but is not very friendly for round robin, multiple if wagers. Also, I wish the Bet History/open Bet Detail was better.

BLR: Needs work. The seperate ticket idea is ok, but getting items on and off the ticket are too complex.

Digital: Works well, but I hate that you get robbed of the change when it rounds off to whole dollars -- a real disadvantage to small bettors.

Proprietary: Bodog is the best software, even if their sportsbook stinks in terms of odds, rules, and line availability. The betallsports/wagerstreet interface is not bad for simple bets, but complex ifs and round robins can be tricky.

If I ran the world, I'd take Bodog's interface, BetJamaica's customer service, and the Greek or 5 dimes bet availability.

BoDog software is not bad, the ASI categoryis the best out of all of them.

Wagerstreet has the best software period.

Pinnacle might use the ASI software, but I swear you would never know it. Because that s/w looks like it was revised so much these days it's not even funny.

    I like ASI the best

I hate Digital. It is so slow scrolling up and down the page if you are veiwing a large amount of games.

Whatever Just Bet uses gets my vote for worst. Simply horrible.

Carib is hands down the worst that I've used. The pages show some kind of archived odds instead of real-time odds, and you can't get true odds without trying to place a bet and seeing the "change" message. JB/Guardian suck balls on a slow connection (but they're fine on a fast connection), but there's absolutely no excuse for refreshing a page and not getting current odds. Not to mention that when you get cut, you can ONLY place a "max" bet. Want to bet lower? Tough shit, can't do it. Account balance under that bet amount? Tough shit, can't do it. Simply horrible.

I'm not sure what software they use at all sir. However, I feel the intertops sports platform has the worst s/w in offshore gaming industry today. Now don't get me wrong, I think Intertops is a very good book to play at, but man...That is brutal to navigate through.

Wager Web is a pretty big eyesore for MLB. They have different boxes for betting LP or action, but they are so scrunched together its tough to tell which label goes to which box.

BetAtlas is pretty good, except for MLB, where you have to manually select LP in a drop down menu at the top of the lines every time you refresh. I also would like to set "amount risked" as my default instead of changing that manually every time also.

I don't like Legendz, it's said they use BLR, so I suppose I don't like BLR. Someone stated they don't like Carib software.............but at least they have it set to not "time out". Greek doesn't time out either. That would be my biggest gripe, (maybe unrelated here)it's seems like at some places(Betonline, BetJ) all you're doing is signing in, signing in.

Changing to LP every single time you refresh is a huge pain in the ass.

Excellent post. I would blend Pinnacle's and Bodogs's interface to have the perfect software.

I can't play at any of the books that use the Orbis software, however I sure would be interested to hear some opinion of those who can.

Here is a list of books that are currently using the Orbis S/W:

    888Sport
    BetDirect
    BetWay
    BlueSquare
    Ladbrokes
    PaddyPower
    PlayboySportsbook
    TotalBet
    UKbetting

From what I remember reading before is that this software won't give you any types of delays. Can anyone confirm if there is any truth to this fact or not?

I change my answer to Proprietary.

Out of all of my books, I like WSEX and Matchbook software the best.

You never get timed out and all lines refresh on their own

That was one of the reasons I liked that S/W as well Mr.Frank. Although, you will get the occasional nag from time to time.

Surely somebody here has formed an opinion on the Orbis software.

The 5dimes interface is still one of the worst in the business. What I wouldn't give for an easy way to see 1H/2H lines without scrolling through every full game line first. Drives me fvking insane.

Why don't you ask Sammy this question because I feel he could give you a better answer than I can without doing the proper research.

Seriously though aren't these books affiliated with the Lucchese crime family sir?
