Red face Creditwagering vs. BetBlackDog -- Should I consider either?

I have enjoyed this forum for quite a while, but just recently joined to contribute to the forum.

I am a small recreational player who has been reading the many posts recently about blackdog and creditwagering. Trying to wade through legitimate feedback, shill postings, and such is quite a task. Can someone give me some legit data on these two outfits and help me determine if it is worth using them instead of post-up action at an established book?

Also, is the 50k minimum yearly income the sole credit requirement for a credit account, or is it one of those "you gotta know someone" deals.

Thanks in advance for the honest replies.

I wish you'd phrased the title differently, as I can predict a mini flamewar of sorts from the people who like one or another.

From what I have read, Blackdog doesn't make any exceptions as far as their 50k salary requirement, you would have to post up and perhaps be given a free play of some sorts. They were just recently rated by SBR at C-, and seem to have positive payout reports so far.

Creditwagering requires no employment verification, and currently uses a reloadable DC for their payouts, and also have positive payout reports. Their limits are $100 per, max win of $1k a week, unless you settle losses a cpl times or post up to raise limits. Max limits would be $500 per side, and max credit line 6k.

BlackDog has standards when it comes to extending credit accounts to players, which I do believe is 50,000 range. However, Creditwagering extends every players $400 instantly in credit.

BlackDog does have offices that SBR has visited, while Creditwagering is totally anonymous and refused to let SBR tour there offices.

IMHOO, I would suggest to you to continue just to play at post up shops like Wsex, 5Dimes, and BetJamaica.

I make more than the 50K yearly requirement -- I was wondering if there were other additional requirements besides income and job verification.

Best thing to do is try them both out and see which one fits your betting style best. Anyone can play at CW and if you can not get credit with Blackdog I am sure you can try out their $250 free play and give them a shot and then post up if you like them.

They extend you $1k in credit, but if you owe $400 at Sunday midnight your account is disabled until you settle. One is free to bet with the $1k through the week.

IMO a credit shop should just be a secondary out Mtneer, I'd load up with a book that BBD suggested and then give CW or BD a look to have extra action.

    That sounds like sound advice.

My main goal is to check out a few of these books out during the summer just messing around with baseball before I kick it up a notch with football in August. But, I'm trying to do some homework before I dive in headfirst.

I don't mind players trying out other sites at all sir, however I feel comfortable recommending top tier books. Because my main concern is keeping posters funds safe and secure. I guess if that explanation is considered a crime, lock me up and throw away the key.

Dont remember anyone mentioning any crime

I myself have at one time or another tried out just about every site out there. By making small deposits one get get a feel for a book without the risk of losing big funds. Every player has different needs and likes, one would never know if one did not exeperiment.

Did that with poker sites and was the only way to find out which was best for my game. Works the same with books I think also.

I wouldn't recommend playing at either books, don't gamble if you don't have the means to do it to begin with. Save your money for gas instead, bro.

I joined this site because A) Ive been 'lurking' for months and B) because I joined Creditwagering and wanted to see other peoples experiences and contribute to that debate. The more I read the more I think they are a legit operation with a mis-guided buisness plan.On paper their philosophy is sound and a new idea but the reality is there will be so many stiffs it wont possibly be able to cover payouts. I would expect this book to work fine for a while and vanish overnight when the suffer aparticuarly bad week.
