Scam sportsbook USDbet soliciting new players it cannot pay
Scam sportsbook USDbet (SBR rating F) soliciting new players it cannot pay
USDbet has been unable to pay players since August of 2007. The sportsbook advertised on sports betting forums while complaining about its blacklist status on SportsbookReview. Once its processor refused to give the book player funds it collected on its behalf, USDbet stopped answering player emails. USDBet.com continues to take deposits and will likely aggressively market bonuses prior to the start of football season. Players should be aware of these scams that utilize money-first gambling portals to appear to be legitimate operations.

Hi, I've been using USDBet for 2 months now, and I've won quiet a bit of money. They appeared to be a creditable looking website, I've been able to get answers to question regarding bonuses and different betting types via email, but when it comes to making a withdrawal, I don't get any response.
I actually spoke to someone once via there live chat once, and they said there withdrawals wont be activated for 3/4 weeks due to a change in management (but they keep accept deposits?!?!?)
There live chat very rarely works, and there 1800 number rings out. (Although, rarely, I actually do get someone on the live chat, but I've tried over 200 times and I've only gotten through twice). This is starting to really #$%! me off. Is there anything you can do to help me?

USDbet migrated to Futurebet from the Sportsbook.com Group.

We are getting more complaints from USDbet players after the report. USD recently emailed SBR to say they were excited to have their own processing but it's clear they do not have player funds. Owed players won't see a penny unless new players are brought in.

A cursory look at their website, and I happened to notice this banner on the bottom half of the page. Almost like a black eye.

nothing like depositing into a black hole
Usdbet has owed me since last fall. I received the same email claiming a new processor and ability to pay in April, still nothing.

If USDbet can get new deposits you have a chance of receiving their money.

It sucks that the only way to get paid is through other peoples misfortune.
With that being said, even if USDBET gets new money, I still don't think they will pay ANYONE.
If they have a scam like this, and no one can stop them, why would they have a change of heart now?
Kinda like Lenny and Cascade.
Why bother making a dent in his debt if there is no way to pay it all back and there are no repercussions?

Like a lot of new books, they don't come out of the gate planning to scam. They are a lot like bettors who dig themselves into a hole with their bookie. They plan to win and don't think about the bottom line figures when they should. They gamble with the player's money.
They buy into these out of the box packages and think that marketing equals easy money. A lot of the Futurebet books threw their hands up and sleep fine at night, considering themselves the victim. Some of these websites are still live as deposit-only books for Futurebet. Others, like Dimeline, are just using the software as they try to climb out of the hole FB put them in.
USDbet is sending emails from PlayerSupport which is the Futurebet CS and that's a bad sign. I think they are about a year into no-pay and no-reply mode so we will have to see if they decide to make good. The amount they owe is relatively small so if they had some good marketing outlets they may see it as profitable to push on. They may see the worst case scenario as new players being owed instead of the old.

Well...Anyone who knows of SBR or even bothers to Google the book name won't touch them. But, you have the basic idea. In the past when TheRX's scam books started slow-paying the first players to feel it were the large balance holders. It makes more sense to slow-pay one player who is depending on the success of the business to get paid vs. the $50 guy who is going to give feedback if his payout is 3 hours late. Sometimes you would see those big balance holders pumping up the book and saying how great they were because getting paid depended on the book getting "more suckers."

Once the well starts to run dry, it's damage control. It's better for the bad book to have one large slow pay than 50 small slow pays. Less people will notice. Plus it's easy to have an excuse for one and not 50. We didn't get your request. Office is closed till Monday. The processor had problems....ETC That is usually the begining of the end. Then they have to sign more new deposits to pay for old debts. Then it snowballs from there.

Right. Very few climb out at that point. Once a credit player, agent, or whale starts hinting things are going south there is a run on the bank. It was much easier to see the process unfold in the old days of eWallets when there is no excuse for 10 guys not getting a Neteller in 3 days.

The Best of 2007 List changed a few times depending on sponsors. USDbet claims they can't update their rules and TOS right now due to lack of access. Maybe they aren't supposed to have the stamp of approval still up there.

USD is trying to detour players around the Futurebet banking system by removing the phone lines and telling everyone to go through chat. Chat doesn't appear to be manned. They are using a cookie cutter solution from Futurebet and can only alter certain parts of the site.

Almost two months later this thread is bumped and I see your reply.
You really think Shrink cares? Take a look at this article still accessible on his site. If you don't know the history of cascade, look it up. You'll be shocked that the article is still there for the unknowing to get duped.

Frank,
I hoped it was a temporary redirect because of switching providers but it's not looking good. USD had some options to switch platform and service providers but they stayed on the Futurebet network on a software-only plan, probably for free since FB stiffed them previously. It's possible Futurebet tried to extort more from them and flipped the switch. We will ask around.

I was able to get my balance through the cashier link I found while doing a search and got a screen shot, and I'm really glad to say it's only about $120.
any further details?
