Well, it looks like Wagerchief has changed their policy regarding the highly publicized 'free half point".

The prior policy stated that it was valid only on Mondays and Fridays, and was not applicable on/off of lines of 3 or 7.

Here is the new policy:

• Valid for straight wagers placed over the Internet only. Sides and Totals.
• Maximum wager $500.
• Valid Tuesday’s and Friday’s.
• Does not apply to moving the line on or off the numbers 3, 7, 10, 14, 17, 21, 24, and 28 in football.
• Not valid when buying points.

The half point is now virtually worthless.

I've been treated well there, but this change in policy is awful. I signed up there to move lines on and off of 10, 14, 17, 21, 24, 28 -- that was a big break break and I benefited a couple of times. Sorry but moving a line from 5 to 4 1/2 doesn't do much for me.

Moving on and off the 4 has some value...It's not entirely worthless. Yea I am sure they were getting burned, I mean the lines were softer than Bodog's off lines

they are going to be doing some sort of half point promotion for hoops.

Does anyone know if SkyBook still does the half point promotions and if so is it the same,
better, or worse than WagerChiefs half point promotion?

too big of a change -- too early in the nfl season. i did not reup this football season because of the lousy bonus offer from shaun, because i won a few bucks last year. always liked and still like jon. a great guy. but i am now glad i did not reup.

I've got about a $1000 bucks left in my rollover -- I hope I can meet it, then get out. I have been treated well there, and I actually like the book, but there is now very little advantage to playing there, in my opinion.

I can understand the move, and it's preferable to keep taking action you can't pay; but surprised they need it given their propensity to block it on a per-account basis.

They have been nailed with this promo this season. 2 prime time games landed right on the #.

They moved it away on Mondays to save a lot of Monday night bets!

They needed to make an adjustment, but they should just do away with it altogether if they are going to change it!

They should also grandfather in anyone who has a balance right now until they cash out or lose it as they may have made the deposit because of this promo!

Well I keep saying it .

50% to 60 % reload bonuses , or cash bonuses , free half point . Now I dont have a problem offering anyone all of these things if they are betting their own stuff.

BUT

If you take the free half point play a line that is heavily steamed and do this every weekend I have to apply some risk management in order to stay in business now I know most of you see it as a personal attack to your account but its not its just part of the business when you offer so much ammo to clients sometimes you need to take a step back and treat some accounts different, if you constantly bet the right number you dont need the free half point.


I dont punish players that win never have everyone has always gotten the best treatment from me and I have done my best to pay them ASAP , but I have also been in the business long enough that if you dont apply some restrictions on certain bettors in the end you will find yourself in a bad situation.

Guys I am always a PM away and will always work with you just contact me and I will be more than fair.

Big picture, half point is almost worthless. Unless you are betting on EVERY game.
