    Default Never use bodog

I wanted to do a payout on Bodog and they want my to verify 5 different ************ before they can verify my payout. When I told them over the phone I no longer use 3 of them, they told me I to have my bank send them an e-mail verifying the 3 ************ I no longer use. What a ******* pain in the ass!

This is the second or third time I have heard this story. Have they given a reason why? Anyway, I recently took a withdrawal with limited issues; it took almost a month, but I didn't get the third degree. I, like you, have used a multitude of cards over the past five or so years.

Looks like there are many issues with bodog lately. At least 3 recent threads warning not to use it. So why is it still an A listed book when so many unhappy customers?

i think most of books require card verification, even those cards no longer in use. i encountered this issue at another book.

while i'm no fan of bodog, i'd say they're just complying with regulations here.

Exactly. That's why you take the 5 minutes to copy your CC/license, and fax it over soon as you deposit, just to save the hassle of doing it later on.

I've never had a problem with them, checks always have came somewhat quick, 3-5 days.

The basic answer is bodog needs to confirm all the money they have received from the player is legitimate. For a more detailed explanation I suggest that you give CS a call, they will be happy to explain.

Last 2 - 3 years I never waited more than 4 business days to have check in hand.

Tracking number usually in 2 days and check in 3. Every time.
Yeah they charge per check after one free but now have direct transfer and a new DC I will request a small payout tomorrow since it is free and first time bonus of 25 dollars. Said it loads card day after request, will see.

How do you figure slow? Yeah maybe a few years back they had a horrible short term problem. Got paid 100 percent of time.

I like Bodog quite a bit. My only complaint is they make me have my account in Canadian dollars. They are the only book I deal with that can't handle a Canadian having a USD acount.

Moneybookers payouts there are very fast. Generally same day.

A bit of a hassle; should at least tell people upfront about these things so he could have already gotten all this info.

I used bodog for a while. I never knew that books screw people over with not honoring bets, refusing action, etc. Grant it, I never bet more than 500 on any game, but I have never had any issue w/ Bodog after using them for 4 years.

However, they tend to have expensive lines and are typically a half point for NFL favorites (e.g., -7 as opposed to -6x for most books). I tend to use Bodog when I want to bet dogs and Bookmaker when I want favorites.

Regarding the CC payout policy, and like someone else said, you have to provide documentation for any card you ever used to deposit. It's obviously too late for you now, but for other folks, I'd suggest sticking with 1 or 2 ************ that you plan to still have when you want to cash out.

To clarify, Bodog does not do anything different than any other online operator that allows deposits with CC. The rules that are in place are caused by banks and governments, not bodog. The payout issues 3 years back were industry wide but bodog still paid out all winners, and in fact, Bodog has never missed a payout of a winner in over 16 years. Everyone in the industry knows when they deposit that there are confirmation programs in place for payouts, and if you comply with these before you request a payout, things are a lot simpler. Deposits more than 6 months old do not need to be validated, but if you have killed a card before this time you do have to get some confirmation documentation from your bank. If you are cycling banks or cards its a good idea to send in the required payout documentation before killing a card. Again CS is happy to walk you through this if you want to discuss it with them.

    Thanks,
    Becky

i requested a payout on 10/5 and received an e-mail with a tracking number on 10/7. i have not received the check yet, but something is being sent to me in the mail. something tells me it will be the requested payout... the problem you are having has nothing to do with bodog, and more to do with legal requirements.

Industry-wide to take 2 months to payout via check? I think not.

I'm curious about something. For years Bodog didn't accept Canadian accounts because they had marketing offices in the Vancouver area, which was peculiar because that wasn't relevant to Canadian laws pertaining to internet gambling.
Are the marketing offices still there? Does the new Bodog ownership have a different legal viewpoint? Why are Canadians now accepted?

Bodog takes longer then many other books I know. BetJamaica has got to be one of the best ones.

Oh my goodness, 3 whole threads. What a huge sample size to base a books rating on. Get a clue.

Bodog is a fine book. Not the best. But serviceable. Payouts a little longer, spreads usually a half point or two-off, (favoring the underdogs).

Never had any problems. Actually pretty reliable..

Bodog may not have the best lines, but they are very user friendly and I haven't had too many problems with payouts (they like to cover all of their bases first, which although may be annoying, is certainly very reasonable).

There are no longer any "bodog" offices in Vancouver. MMGG, the company which owns and operates the US facing bodog.com, is run out of Kahnawake, Canada. Bodog Europe owns Bodog.ca and the Bodog.ca offices are located in Antigua.

Please let me know if you have any more questions about this or about the bodog brand licensee structure!

The thing that always got me about the CC verification is shouldn't they want verification before a deposit is made? I once used a CC for a deposit, lost my wager. Well 2 years later I go to that account, use ** for deposit, win then request a payout and they want verification on that CC. Bottom line is they'll do anything they can to make it a hassle for the player to get money out beacuse if they were wanting to verify that you were that person using the card it would be done before hand. Not saying they are trying to scam the player but seems like making them jump through a few hoops.

I've been paid by Bodog once with no problem. Albeit this was while US players could still use Neteller.

My only problem with Bodog, is that they seem to regularly have lines missing or circled. Especially ML's. I had never noticed this until opening accounts at 2 other books. Occasionally the other 2 books will also be missing a ML, but not near as often a Bodog.

This is more accurate - the more difficult they make your withdraw the better chance you give up, bet it and lose it. totally standard
