I am sure several of you received that free $200 money offer in the mail from oddsmaker.
Not really sure it is worth the effort being a D- book and all, but here are the details: Keep in mind this a 15x rollover and your balance must go to a minimum of $2550 and you can only make a withdrawal for any amount that is over a balance of $2500 to a maximum of $1000. In-other-words, if your balance is $3500, you may withdrawal $1000.00 max. Oh, and of course no teaser, parlays and stuff like that. You can read the rules under their $200 free cash policy. I almost forgot, after you sign up, you have to go to the my account page and transfer the money from your cash balance to the sportsbook balance. Anyway, not really sure it is worth the hassle, but I went ahead and signed up. I don't plan on giving them any money and if I lose it, I lose it. Hell, it will take me till April 2010 just to make that $3500, starting with $200.00. Then in 2010 I will probably be filling out a complaint form asking SBR to help me get that $1000.00, while everyone flames me for being with a D- book. LOLLast edited by DukeJohn; 03-22-08 at 02:04 PM.. Reason: Removed promo code since crazyl had a different code number. |

They sent me the same offer today, I've got an account setup. I'll tell you though, I can barely complete a 2x rollover before going broke, so 15x will be a stretch.

I struggled with this one. It is too low of an amount to really mess with and I sure don't want to put money in this book. Now that I opened the account, I had to set up it's own spreadsheet with it's own variables. In the end, I did it, because right now, a thousand dollars would be nice and by 2010 I thought well, a thousand dollars is still a thousand dollars, might as well take it. Who knows, maybe by then they will be a B book ![]() Oh, by-the-way, was the promo code the same as mine?

It was a few letters different.
What I found funny is I could not find any terms, rollover requirements, or other restrictions in the promotion letter. I didn't search all over because I knew there was undoubtedly a high rollover involved, but I think they must get a lot of relatively uninformed signups this way. Guys that come in, start parlaying and teasing a couple times, request a W/D... then boom, already voiding the promotion. And if they lose before they get to that square, they probably deposit anyway never clued in that they were likely not seeing a dollar anyway. |

Thank you for your quick response. I went ahead and removed the promo code I had. I 'm probably just paranoid, but did it anyway.
I agree with you about their bonus program. When I read it, I thought, how many people get screwed over by this. It seems rather elaborate. I mean winning, what over $3000 just to withdrawal $1000. Then what, that $2500 just sits in the account laughing at you. I guess, you might be able to take it up to $3500 again. Maybe, not really sure on this.

I placed my first wager with Oddsmaker this morning. Since I am starting with only the free $200, the most I wanted to bet was $1.25 and that was being risky for me. As it turned out their minimum is $5.00. Whoa, that's a whopping 2.5% of the bank roll. I usually like to be around .56%. Hmm... Well, it is a free $200 so I thought, what the hell, let's roll the dice. So, I bet the minimum $5.00.
It is possible that I may still make the roll over. Once I get the BR to $900 I will be fine, but for now, it is definitely a gamble...

If anybody really thinks they can get their balance up to $3500 off of $200, then why da f@@k they just do that with their own $200 and play it at a legit place like BETJAM or the Greek. Why do you need free money to win, just do it with your own money, and then you don't have to worry about those dumb rules. Having false hopes of getting paid and then getting stiff has to be the worst feeling ever.

I emailed Oddsmaker.com to inquire about that June 1st 2008 deadline. I asked if the deadline was just a date that someone had to sign up and use the promotion or was it the date someone had to request the withdrawal by.
After a couple of emails explaining myself so they could understand the question, I received this response: Quote:

ive been reading these posts as a direct result of having actually rolled over 15X this "free $200" i got from Oddsmaker. i won 7 games in a row, and ended up with $3,394.97 in my account to which i requested a withdrawal via moneygram. i was told it would be 5-10 business days before i could pick it up and that the cashier would email me with the details. well, today is the 10th business day and of course no sign of any confirmation emails from the cashier. so i called customer service, and they said my request was processed last week and the status of my withdrawal is "waiting" for funds to be released from the cashier. we all know moneygrams take 10 minutes to send not 10 days and i'm quite sure that had i been the one sending the money gram they wouldnt wait 10 days to pick it up. so this little 7-0 run concludes a 24-4 march madness where i made some damn good money with other books that i have deposited and withdrawn real money from, but i am now being told that once i receive the confirmation email from the cashier thats when the 5-10 business days part kicks in so in reality oddsmaker could wait a month before sending this email. i honestly believe i am never getting paid and i followed the rules to the letter - ONLY straight bets and i wagered about 3700 total dollars. so if it comes then ill be happy - its just you know you make certain adjustments in your personal finances when you think money is on the way, and this experience is really a good lesson - i did however win a great deal of free money from betjamaica and they paid.

Wow, great job. Please keep us informed how this all plays out. Also, as you probably are aware you can fill out a complaint form with SBR and they should be able to help you with this. I am sure BBD will suggest this on your other post about this. Again Congrats ![]()

every one i either chat with or speak to over there swears i am getting paid- i told them i knew i was getting screwed and they say absolutely not but blame a high volume of withdrawal requests for their delay. i filled out the form as you suggested and now i hurry up and wait. |

funny how after not hearing from them for 10 days i got 4 emails from everyone from the cashier to the director of operations within 8 hours of filling out a complaint form at SBR. either it is a strong coincidence or someone at SBR just helped me out bigtime. so special thanks to bigboydan for the advice, and to my man duke for being a good guy. duke here's the beat- dont make $5 bets. just bet the whole account 6 times and you will have your rollover requirement covered and if you can go 6-0 or 7-0(like i did) then you will be getting $1000 wired to you within 10 days. they paid me moneygram $839.97 - i just picked it up at 10pm. i copied the lette the cashier wrote me and posted it in my original thread if you care to read it. just dont bet parlays teasers ifbets, ml bets, etc. only bet -110 straight wagers and you should be fine provided that you win. my plays were: wva/az over 139.5 (140), wky +4.5 over drake, san diego +12.5 over uconn, miami +6 over texas, miss st +6.5 over memphis, NIT ohio st- 8 over cal, and my final bet of $1100 on LAL/GS over 228.5 went to overtime on 2 baron davis free throws with 3.8 seconds left to go well over the total. so there was some big luck involved but for the most part like every year come tourney time you need to get ready to either bet dogs or pay the book. one or the other. having said all that i am on Memphis now +250 win it all. they are just too fast for any of these 3. the only conference that can match their speed up and down is the SEC (see Tennessee reg season and miss st in the tourney) this is the memphis runnin rebels - look for rose to control both games with size and quickness and athleticism and then make someone in the lottery real happy next year. best of luck to you.

Great Job and I am glad you got everything resolved so quickly once you sent that SBR complaint form in. I got to tell ya, I see that a lot. People having problems and then they fill out the form and the same day many things happen. It is just uncanny. LOL, I doubt I could come anywhere near your ability at handicapping and besides, I rather show, with patience and good money management even us slow pokes can come out a head. Anyway, thanks for the update and once again congrats. ![]()

thanks duke- i just meant with this promo thing seeing as its not real money until its actually real money you may as well just bang out one best bet per day until you hit 3500 then pull out, and believe me im not god's gift to handicapping as you can see by most of those moves that got me the gravy i barely covered - sun shines on a dogs ass... but i like kansas and memphis and mempis overall. we'll see.

Just giving an update.
A quick recap. I received $200 for free from Oddsmaker back in March of 2008. I have to take the balance to $3500 before they will send me a check for $1000 and the remaining $2500 will be wiped from my account, bring the total to $0. I have a goal date of April 2010 for this to happen. We shall see. Since I rarely bet beyond the half-way point in MLB, the season is over for me. I did make a stupid error at the end of this season for this Oddsmaker account, so I didn't get all the units I was looking for, but I still ended up. Currently the account is at $321.56, which is an increase of $103.41 over what I started the season with. I am off until the start of NBA & NHL, so good luck out there everyone.

I googled Oddsmaker problems and I found this helpful site, that was after Oddsmaker took $1,500 in winnings from the Free $100! I placed a parley after I had reach the top level and could have withdrawn, BUMMER! I learned to Never play at low graded places, life is too short to waste. My bonuses are my winnings. I also played at Betus and took everthing out. This happened in December 07. This year I am at The Greek and Bookmaker. Too many headaches with Oddsmaker for my time.

lol... oh what an NBA season for me... I made a few mistakes on this account, but didn't really care to even fix them after I made the error... Thought maybe it would work out for the better and it didn't
lol... well, anyway, I did meet the $3000 rollover amount, however my balance is only $346.51. So, hopefully this next season in MLB I will stick to betting correctly... Again, this is just an experiment, following a long process to see if following all the rules, they payout in a year or two... lol...Good Luck out there...

Yes it is for real. I got the free $100 in the mail awhile ago. I decided to try to turn it into 2500 and you got 1000 of it. I turned it into 2500 and took the money out on January 26th. I got my gift card yesterday and it is activated and ready to go. You just have to follow the rules. No parlays or teasers. I also didn't deposit any money in that account.
