Pretty crumby situation. I remember you making this kind of post about Cascade.. even had its own subforum for a while. I personally am very weary about books that have a bonus plan that is too good, or a business model that looks suspect. Not worth the risk 9/10.

I heard from someone I know there that the money people behind BJO, who are on a different continent from the employees in Costa Rica, told them that they were done and then they disappeared. Disappeared in terms of not being reachable by phone, email, etc.

I think the money people took a calculated bet and put X number of dollars at risk and when it was gone said "no more" and cut their losses.

    asians again?

I have tried so hard to escape any bookie licensed in Asia and it wouldn't be cool if they had found another way to collect money.
Aren't there any government organizations in Costa Rica where we can file a complaint or something like that?

If there is one positive about the anti-gambling legislation it is that such people can be brought to trial here. The kidnapping them into the US being the hard part.

Yes, he is an Australian apparently and is not afraid to hurt his reputation.

Had they marketed and took more post up they would have went on and stiffed a large numbr of people. We knew their bookmaking was very poor, now we know so is his ethics.

In an indirect way I think Curious and the SBG guys who were lucky enough to get paid saved lots of players from being stiffed. Had they not had that money in the red column they would have marketed and eventually stiffed those who came in that route. March Madness was not especially good to the books.

If the money was labeled Capilleira you should be good. Capilleira wasn't cutting payments unless they had it from BJO. Unfortunately Capilleira didn't require funds up front as they repeatledly said they would in after other turnkey stiff jobs.

I think we will see a final summary of events from BJO mgt. but it won't include any mention of payment. Not unless the owner suddenly feels some kind of pressure due to his location.

That he was Australian should perhaps have been a red flag. If he wanted to book properly, why didn't he go down the licensed route in Aus?

Ok, so Capilleira is NOT gonna stand good for any of these funds?

Have you had any discussions with Charlie?
