BETED cut my wager limit to $1.00! HELP!
I wished I would have learned about this website before opening an account on BetEd.com. On August 12th, I deposited $1300 into my account and accepted the 5x bonus (wished i never did). My roll over requirement was $7150.00. I have made a bunch of bets on CFL and NFL preseason which I won every game and my current balance is $7062.31. I logged onto my account today and got this message indicating they have changed my wager limit to $1.00. With $262.51 remaining left (roll over) I don't know what to do! Placing 263 $1.00 bets is just insane! I have also emailed them my bank verification form (voided check, drivers license) and I still have not heard from them yet. I emailed beted.com but the system indicated they will get back to me tomorrow after 9am. I am pretty frustrated about the situation.

You think you're frusturated now? Wait till you try and withdraw your balance. BetEd is always coming up with new and exciting ways to steal money from their winning customers.
My advice is the following:
Make those 263 $1 bets and then request a full withdrawal of your account and indicate you are doing so because they cut your limits to $1 rendering your account useless.
You can make 3 $1 bets on every game (side, spread and moneyline) so you only have to bet 88 games. DO NOT BET ON BOTH SIDES OF THE SAME GAME as they might use that as an excuse to steal your money.
There are 15 baseball games a day so you can place 45 bets on those. Then there's WNBA, some NFL, tennis and a whole slew of soccer matches. I figure you can run through those 263 bets within 3 days or so. Do that, request a withdrawal and pray to God they actually process your withdrawal.
Good luck to you Sir.

i'd do it differently.
263 bets is no problem. go round robin, but only 2 bets per game (spread and totals).
then withdraw it in 3 chunks.

fill out a complaint form with SBR maybe they can help you. Justin7 has said it is unreasonable to offer a rollover and then cut limits in the rollover thus making it not realistic to complete the rollover

I wouldn't risk losing the bonus with just $263 to go. Make the $1 bets. Likely you lose about $15-$20 in juice but then the entire $7 grand is yours.

Hey Everyone! Thanks for the advice! I just logged onto my beted account to place a bunch of $1.00 bets. However, I clicked on the bonus and discovered with all the money ive wagered since my deposit-- i've passed up my rollover (barely). I submitted my bank verification form + id + voided check to them a few hours ago. Hopefully I wont have any problem cashing out because ive heard horror stories about other peoples experiences. Once i do, I will def. go on to another site because restricting me to $1.00 bets is insanely stupid.

Glad to hear that you had actually cleared rollover at the time they indicated they didn't want your business anymore ($1 limits). Wear it like a badge of honor, obviously their risk dept. felt your play was not recreational and so a business decision was made. So long as they don't cut someone severely without giving option to take prorated bonus amount out and immediately w/d all winnings, it's fair.

Hey Everyone, Got the following emails from beted today:
Hello Tuan,
The decision to lower your wagering limits was made today by the Accounts Manager and is to be considered final.
You are free to withdrawal your remaining balance at anytime.
Thank you for your business.
Customer Service Department.
Hello Tuan,
Username: Generic Label
Tuan, please note that the only item pending to complete your account file is the copy of your picture ID, note that the one you sent us is cut on the bottom.
You may email the scanned document to forms@gbforms.com.
Should you have any questions or comments please don't hesitate to contact us anytime.
Regards,
Customer Service Department
I just emailed them ALL the documents again (bank verification). My *************** deposit still hasn't cleared yet (posted my account) because it was the weekend. So what I am going to do is wait exactly 10 days and then request a withdrawl. Again guys, thank you for the replies. Wished they would have never changed my wager limit because I would have def. won on SF over INDY today. I am going to move to a different book after this stupid experience.

Wow they sure don't like guys that win there. I sure will not go with them at all. If I was SBR I would do something about this because this is flat out wrong. Yes I would yank my money out of there asap and never go with them ever again. They don't want business from winners and that just stinks.

Lou I think you need to put them on the list that does not like people to win there. Some people go on a big winning streak and then they do that to a person. It is not right at all. If they did that over the course of a year then it would be different. This was in a short period of time this happened. Are you telling me that I could get on a winning streak and then have this happen. It just think that is disgusting. I say that they deserve to be rated lower just based on that alone. This book should not be as high as they are at all. They should be a C at best for doing stuff like this. I sure don't see many A books that this has happened to.

While sportsbooks have the right to cut limits whenever they wish, doing it after 3 days is ridiculous.
I opened up an account with Sportbet a couple of years back and they cut me down to $100 limits after 1 days betting.
Since I didn't accept a bonus when opening up the account, I withdrew my balance and closed the account.
Stick with Pinnacle, Bookmaker, Greek and Matchbook and that should cover your bases without having to worry about limit reductions.
Frogger, thank you very much for the SBR points. Have a good week.

you are so lucky! Just give up the bonus. You already won several thousand. If you don't complete that 5X rollover, you will just lose the bonus. anyway, good luck to you on your withdrawal..

While that sucks, it doesn't surprise me in the least. What everyone fails to realize is that this is a 'business'. Any undesired business transactions will most likely be corrected in 'favor' of the 'business'. BetEd is no fool. They knew you were due this bonus. They also know you aren't going to fill up your backpack and come and track them down. They aren't interested in your repeat business--they don't need it. Solution? Multiple locals. This strategy always, always works. Good locals always pay and they do so on time. There are TONS of them around, just ask. As for your bonus? Kiss it goodbye. Chalk it up as a loss and a lesson learned. If I had a nickel for every time I have had a story like yours, I would own Musha Cay. Sorry bro.

This is direct insight, once again, into the crappy behind-the-scenes mentality of this book. They don't want your business anymore, but instead of just kicking you out (for beating them for a few K), they also want to make you suffer on the way out. Just complete 250 wagers. Play them blind. WTF does it matter? Then cash out asap.
As a general principle, if a book lowers limits during rollover, that should void the remaining rollover. It is a violation of the agreement under which the rollover was accepted.
Beted, classless and cheap as usual.

Same happened to me about 2 months ago. They'll directly deposit into your bank account every 7-10 days. It's frustrating checking so often, but they don't have a rich history of stiffing clients according to their report.
BetEd and SIA do however have a rich history for pulling the plug on clients after a hot month. With that said, they are probably the easiest two books to beat on the web via major US sports. Ample +EV opportunities.

I have to agree with goblue12- I think they do pull the plug on people who has a hot streak. I pretty much won all my bets. My account lasted only for a few days-- if it wasn't for this stupid sport book I would have cashed on the football games yesterday too which freaking sucks. Once my bank verification forms is cleared with them-- i will cash out and open an account on a different sportsbook recommended by SBR with a better rating. Anyhow, thanks for the advice and comments. I wished I would have known about this website.

Beat The Greek on live betting and they will cut your limit to $500. Beat them to moves and they will boot you or lower your limits after warning you.

I don't think anyone's failing to realize this is a business. We just think some books are better businesses than others. Books which ban winning bettors--not counting syndicate players or steam chasers or anyone else who essentially is overloading the book's desired bet limits--aren't good businesses. They aren't maximizing their potential profits. BetED sounds like clowns.
I mean, if you have a guy you really, really think is a good handicapper, then by taking his action you're finding out which side of the game to bet on. That should be a gold mine for a book. THAT would be good business.
If you have a guy who's just on a hot streak, you should send a limo for him like Vegas does, NOT ban his action before he can give it back. That also would be good business.
Also, I wouldn't say there were TONS of good locals around. Not for winning players. There are some, sure. But I guess you've never had one die of a heart attack while owing you big. Or had one get arrested and his funds confiscated. Or had one just plain disappear. All of which have happened to me.
