hello is there astreet address with those pics? also TLD here is an interesting post from a popular poker forum twoplustwo.com which helped uncover the Absolute Scandal..

Re: ePassporte's Statement to Poker Sites

    --------------------------------------------------------------------------------

This absolutely true... at least one of Absolute Pokers clients was contacted by the FBI for information regarding his transactions with Absolute Poker, Doyle's Room and a few sportsbooks related to Absolute scammer AJ Grimard called BetRuss Lazerwager which he is owed some money since january... and SBG Global.... so there obviously is something brewin; that may not be good. 60 Minutes is also on the case.... a double whammy....

Yes, they are either trying to use deposits to get out of the hole, borrowing from Peter to pay Paul, or are on a cash grab on the way out.

On Friday I received the form e-mail that has been posted elsewhere in the forums announcing that Lazerwager has resumed payouts. (I didn’t see it for over 48 hours, because I wasn’t online.)

I have not received a payout, or any kind of control number, tracking number, or any information regarding my payout that has been pending since January. I just got the non-specific e-mail that presumably went out to all their customers (or at least all their customers awaiting payouts).

I will call Lazerwager during business hours on Monday to see what they tell me.

I will be sure to post any updates regarding my situation.

(Thanks bigboydan for the mention in the other thread.)

Thanks TLD. They may be pulling a Cascade and sending the press release to parlay that into appearing to be a paying book. That would buy some time.

Hopefully the pressure on their other business is going to get you guys paid.

TLD, What was the latest excuse they gave to you when you called them this week?

Dan, on Monday they said they’d have a tracking number for me on Tuesday and the shipment with that number would go out Thursday. No explanation why they didn’t send it last Friday when payouts allegedly resumed.

On Tuesday they insisted they’d already given me my tracking number the previous day. When I insisted right back that they hadn’t, they gave it to me “again.” They said the shipment with that number would “probably,” “hopefully” go out Thursday or Friday of this week.

(There is no such number in the Fed Ex system yet.)

Independent of what’s been posted in the forums, I have communicated with one customer who has now received payment. The check was for less than half of his (January) withdrawal request. They told him it’s because they’re breaking the bigger payouts into weekly installments.

Whatever infusion of funds they got apparently wasn’t enough to cover all they owe, but they are at least dribbling some money out. So they’re not a total no-pay book any longer.

But I haven’t gotten anything yet.

i hope they follow through and pay you your winnings. I feel for you as all this gambling headaches are really not warranted.
To me gambling is an escape, and spices up ones life from the routines of our daily duties. Watching the game and hoping to cover is the only stress you should have . It really is very stressful to have to worry about being paid after you sweated out the bet. I hope others who read this Mb will stay clear of any company such as Lazer Wager as it takes the enjoyment out of gambling, which is why most of us sign up in the first place. Its nice to have a site like SBR so that we can share info and avoid the dead beat companies.
While we're posting about gambling does anyone have a good feel on the Derby? I liked the chalk Big Brown even though he was lightly raced, beat no real contenders and there is a lot of speed. However the 20 post has soured me on him.
I think the filly eightbelles has a shot and am looking forward to hear what others may think.
Good luck and I hope you get your winnings.

Ever since Lazerwager opened the word around town was that they were going to crash and burn.

It really does suck , I can imagine how it must feel to get screwed when you have a good win .

For whats it's worth I hit the Exacta good. It was tragic to see a great filly die. Thank G-d I bet with OTB and not with Lazer wager I guess I'd be collecting in Jan if I did. If they'd pay me at all. They would probably tell me that according to their rules no exacta could be paid if the 2nd horse dies before they make the race offical.

This made me laugh, mainly because its so true. It wouldn't surprise me to see a book come up with an excuse like that so they wouldn't have to pay nowadays.

Can't believe how the industry has crashed in the last yera and a half for the most part. Thank god for Betjamaica...

it made me laugh too, lazerwager always made sht up along the way like that. they had bad marketing as well like across the street their ads were downright weird. they were giving out a 22.5% sign up bonus and they had this white girl in the ad holding up her hands like she's measuring a dick and a black guy standing with his back to her and he's naked so you can see his ass. they had quite a discussion about this ad over there. i never signed up at LW because of this ad.

I was due a payout on 5/2/08. Never recieved it. The funny thing is they are calling friends of mine to deposit money. While I have cashed out most of my money they still hold a couple thousand and keep giving excuses for the last couple weeks on why they can't pay. Yet still continue to solicit new customers. Buyer beware. Bonus might be good but how good is it when they don't payout!

After several more falsehoods and delays after the April 25 e-mail announcing the resumption of payouts, I now have a Fed Ex tracking number with a scheduled delivery of tomorrow for a portion of my January withdrawal.

It's a safe bet that the pressure on the credit stuff prompted LW to finally own up. Let's hope they see it all the way through.

Glad to hear it. LW is a joke they took your money in a flash and paid partial payment in May for a Jan withdrawal.
If they manage to stay in business they may change their name to Later Wager. Its only one letter different but it speaks volumes. Wonder how much money one can make holding all withdrawals for 5 months interest free.

Two Lazerwager (SBR rating F) players confirm they have received partial payment. This is the first report of payment since SBR's visit to the troubled sportsbook in February.

They're just saying some time this week for the remainder of my January withdrawal. But I don't have a tracking number or anything concrete.

I haven't heard about any of the customers who received partial payouts last week getting the remainder yet. So we'll see.

No, since I got a partial payout of my January withdrawal, it's just been the usual constant promises and constant breaking of said promises.

From the customers I've talked to and checking the forums, I'm not aware of any payouts going out in the last two to three weeks after that brief burst of activity where quite a few checks went out. It may well be frozen again.

But, they're still in business, and they made the aforementioned payouts after several months of being stalled, so I don't think it's far-fetched those of us owed will eventually get some if not all of our money. Maybe the best that can realistically be hoped for is an installment once every few weeks or months.

Some day someone's going to have to explain this business model to me. If you want to have an ongoing business that customers can have any trust at all in, you pay in full and as promptly as circumstances allow. If you're thieves, you just close up and screw people and don't waste further money on employees and overhead and such. What possible purpose is served by stopping payouts for months, allowing some checks to trickle out, and then stopping again?

Some insolvent books aren't traditional scams where they exist to eventually run off our money. They are scams for risking your money on their business plan. If they don't quickly make money they will lose your money, making you pseudo investors. A lot of new bookies think all players lose. It's matter or borrowing from Peter to pay Paul.

It's not clear if the big PPH service is leaking out some cash for Lazer or if they are paying with deposits. Logic suggests the latter since the sum is very low. If someone hits an 8 teamer they probably won't ever be paid.

Nothing new. When I bother to call it's just more of the usual cycle of lies and broken promises. I haven't given up hope entirely since they did send me a sizable chunk of my money about a month ago. So anything's possible. But for now payouts are frozen again.

    Hello Bill and Dan,
I am wondering if you guys already contact the Evolution owner who is hosting for the lazerwager, you mght give the Evolution team a hard time in order to push Lazerwager to pay for the players, I think Lazerwager making big mistake when they let evolution hosting their web and doing business with them, I heard they charge a lot more expensive then another guys in the market at this point.

I haven't contacted Evolution ownership at all sir, however I'm not sure If the gentlemen in the office have or not yet. My assumption would be that we have though given some previous reports I've read.
