Thumbs up SBR scam alert saves AtlantisBets victim $5,000

SBR scam alert saves AtlantisBets (SBR rating F) victim $5,000

The player had an Atlantis account with $5,000 already deposited but was able to stop a Western Union payment on an additional $5,000. The bettor was instructed by the "pro handicappers" who also work with the scam book, to send the funds. This player is now unable to reach the scam-cappers or book management and fears that the book will zero out his account, as reported by the previous victim.

Well it doesn't look good on the original $5k, but thankfully he didn't lose $5k more, if there is a silver lining to all this.

I remember fielding a complaint about this book a few weeks ago, and it sounded like a scam right off the bat. I advised the gentlemen not to send any funds.

In fact If memory serves me correctly, I think Justin fielded a complaint on this book not to long ago as well.

Great job on the advise. Sounds like you hit it dead on. Too bad that he ended up sending the first 5k. Either way kudos to the SBR staff.

Red face Uhhh???

People in this country honestly have too much money. I've got about 10k in my bank account and I sure as hell ain't gonna Western Union it to some no name online sportsbook b/c some "personal sports handicapper" called me up and recommended them. Honestly is this guy like a millionaire that just doesn't care about money? There are really only about 20 online books that are worth investing 10k+ into and "BetAtlantis" isn't one of them. If he is a millionaire and doesn't care about losing his cash then send me 10k otherwise do a LITTLE RESEARCH for 5 mins on sportsbookreview.com which this guy apparently already belonged to before walking down to your local Western Union and sending 10k to Joe Blow in Amsterdam

Unfortunately using touts to execute the scam is fairly common. Once the capper makes contact with the newbie bettor he can work on gaining his trust and misleading him until the time is right. The deposit is never a cold sell. The book makes believe they aren't in the picture and the tout cell phone goes dead.
