    Default Skybook

I don't hear much about Skybook anymore. I had an account a few years ago. Anyone still playing there that has any thoughts on them?

Good Question. I'd like to know myself.

Some of us did real well there 8 or 9 years ago when they practically gave away the store with crazy free 2 dime 5 team parleys every month and half points up the ass everywhere.

Eventually they were only giving away stuff like free coffee and sports themed grills. Still have an unused baseball grill. It looks too nice to get it all smoked up. Stopped playing there 4 or 5 years ago for no particular reason other than maybe what half point deals they still had came with crazy juice manipulations. I couldn't make heads or tails of that stuff.

Then forum rumors made me think there were better places to play. But they always were good to me.

One of the first books I played with, I remember the coffee, that was funny. Not sure why I moved on?

Anyone else playing there? Free half point is still available there and I'm surprised we don't see more posts about them. Maybe I am missing something.

they are a shell of their once self. I think they merged with somebody or sold naming rights and abandon ship or something. Can't remember. But basically not the same company that gave away grills and coffee.

    skybook (SBR rating B-)

They still have the Free 1/2 point, but it's only on Tuesday and Fridays now, 10AM -10 PM, but it applies to totals as well as teams, which is new.
Good shop, some different lines than the norm.

    They are unplayable now.

I don't mind the baseball lines there but it is too hard to get money out. No e-wallets and no book-to-book transfers. Just ** and ** with small limits and big fees. Earlier this year I needed to withdraw ~9K and, between fees and currency conversions, it cost me about $1000. I kid you not.

And it took about 10 separate withdrawals which was a lot of farting around.

When Skybook became a skin of BetPhoenix I stopped using them, nothing against BetPhoenix, but the last thing I needed was bets being voided because I went over the limits after combining with other places under the BetPhoenix umbrella.

This was a problem for me too. If you are just wanting to play around with a few hundred, then sure. I mean, you will have to pay more in fees, but overall they are pretty solid. However, there are other solid places that will be cheaper to withdrawal and if you have more than a few hundred in your bankroll then just move on.

I get slightly different lines (slightly better juice) on Skybook MLB vs BetPhoenix. Unfortunately Skybook has the same lousy interface as BP's new one, which is basically impossible to use on my laptop because you need to run at at something higher than 1200x800 resolution or whatever my laptop runs at. Actually, I should start a different thread on that because I have the same problem with BP's "new interface" (but BP still lets me select "old interface.")
