Default Please rate the "other" BETTING EXCHANGES

Okay, we should remove Betfair (since according to others, it is by far in the #1 slot).

Just noticed that "exchanges" are becoming more common. Maybe it is the psychological feeling that when you win... you don't win against a book, instead you win against an anonymous bettor too. And maybe its because, you know it minimizes the "risk factor" that the books take on your bets (since they earn by commissions) and therefore would make you psychologically feel more "secure" betting with them.....

So, what is left on the list?

Matchbook -

Betdaq -

Mansion -

Betsson -

WBX -

Mybet -

iBetX -

The Alternatives

Tradesports -

Spreadex -

Any others out there?

I haven't heard of most of those, only use Matchbook, used to love Mansion.

There's ehorseX which is mainly horse racing, pro football, and NASCAR. Only championship events in other sports.

They don't cover transfer fees.

Why use anything other than matchbook? Exchanges depend on having a lot of players, so a few really big ones is much better than a lot of small ones.

I deposited to matchbook last Tues, still haven't been credited, hope it's in there by Friday.

I would rate them like this:

Matchbook - B (good, but no Euro-accounts)

Betdaq - B (good in AH soccer)

Mansion - B+

Betsson - B (good for soccer half time betting)

Mybet - D

iBetX - D- (slow pay)

BetOnBet - B (low commission rate)

SupporterBet - D- (not useful at all, bad website...)

MatchMyWager - C (sometimes good correct score odds)

Thanks for the info. Very informative. Never even knew there were those other exchanges out there. Wish they would just consolidate to have more action and value.

I like betting on exchanges because (for me) it remove the guilt when I win. If I win big (percentage-wise) against a sportsbook... I always think...hey are they about to limit me or something like that.

With Exchanges, you are "limited" by the volume/value of the bets that are on the board and I don't mind winning against someone on the "other side".

By the way, have you guys seen this book
maybe someone should write one for Matchbook too.

Cheers and good luck to us all!!!

Hi! Seems you've been around and done some homework. I am surprised to see that you have high ratings for MANSION. The only advantage I see about MANSION is that there are "readily available" bets on the board already since they are actually a "sportsbook".

I've seen Betsson and there does not seem to have any American action like NBA.

Betdaq so far looks to be an "equal" to Matchbook although they cater more to Euro sports.

BetonBet --- will check this out. I like the "low commission"...anything low or free is good as long as it is not too good to be true.

In my opinion, the top 2 (after BetFair) would be Betdaq (for Euro sports) and Matchbook (for U.S. Sports).

Great post!

agree with the above point about the guilt factor...
What are the best exchanges for US Sports (besides matchbook) and that have a format most similar to US sportsbooks..? I am still a bit in the dark with the exchange format...

I would stick to Matchbook for US Sports and they come highly recommended around here. Once the game is done, you can see your funds credited right away ... ready to play again.

Their software (not sure if they made it themselves) is the easiest to use among the various exchanges. And I love their "straightforwardly cool" descriptions and FAQ.

Please go check them out and see how easy they are to use. I just figured out the "back & lay" in 5 minutes.

If there is nothing yet inside (like NBA as of this exact time), you can do some experimental "postings" and see how it affects the board.

Goodluck!

Matchbook is by far the best for US sports.
If they only offered accounts in EUR...

Betfair, Mansion and Betdaq for soccer

Betsson, Redbet, BetOnBet and MatchMyWager are pretty much interchangeable imho. I'd personally take BetOnBet propably, due to 3% comission.

SupporterBet is useless.

After a couple of months using the following betting exchanges (aside from Pinnacle and Bet365):

Betdaq
Betsson
Mansion
Matchbook

I think I can now do some personal ratings.

Matchbook 4.5/5
- fast pay-out via moneybookers
- easy-to-understand software interface
- fast loading
- organized
- good liquidity
- great odds
- low commission as compared to the others
- the best "all-around" exchange after Betfair
- BUT lacks European sports (at least liquidity wise)

Betsson 4.0/5
- fast pay-out via moneybookers
- good software and design
- good liquidity for European sports
- has a "sister" sportsbook just in case you need more bets
- odds are one of the best
- sometimes slow-loading
- BUT lacks liquidity on American Sports

Betdaq 3.5/5
- fast pay-out via moneybookers
- software looks too busy and confusing compared to the others
- 5% commission is not considered low
- wide selection of "international" sports
- good liquidity near game-time

MANSION 3.0/5
- fast pay-outs
- charges now for deposits
- not a wide range of sports selections
- software is presentable but does not look "alive"
- no tennis
- some "issues" regarding "stability" since it is Indonesia-related

In my opinion, Matchbook has the "potential" to be the next BetFair. I enjoy Matchbook for its user-friendliness and liquidity.

Others exchanges I may try-out (unless someone tells me otherwise):

www.redbet.com (looks very primitive to me)

www.betonbet.com (haven't heard too much about them)

www.mybet.com (any issues here?)

www.matchmywager (not sure if it safe)

www.backandlay.com (supposed to be the 1% commission exchange but it is currently down for maintenance)

www.wbx.com (they do not accept moneybookers... which is a mistake)

www.tradebetx.com (is this an exchange?)

Hoping for more feedback. I am winding-down with the other exchanges and will be keeping Matchbook since I have Pinnacle and Bet365 too.
