Default Why is betdaq not rated?

When other exchanges are? They require a copy of your passport to withdraw and i realise other members have said this is fine, and they are indeed a large company, but still would like to see a SBR rating on them. Anyone know why they have not been rated?

Betdaq are really a safe Company to use. I have used them for about 5 years & have had no problems with them

The guy behind it is a multi multi millionaire & all customers accounts are Ring-fenced & secured with a $10 million bond.

I would say they must be at least the equivalent of a B+ SBR rated book

Security isn't an issue

But Betfair leaves them for dead when it comes to liquidity and range of markets

Most of the time yes, but don't forget that Betdaq only takes 2% commission on AH bets which can be very useful. Also if you ask them they may grant you a lower commision on everything like 2,5 or 3,5%.

I use betdaq as my preferred exchange as was offered 2.5% com. Certainly seems a more stable platform than betfair (probably due to usage than design) and liquidity hasn't been an issue on the world cup at the moment. Next day payouts, regular promotions, decent choice of deposit/withdrawal options. Worthy of an 'A' in my book.

they have about 1/10th the total liquidity of betfair according to article i read a few days ago, like mentioned above they are owned by a billionaire from Ireland, in general very solid company.

Simple - SBR gets nothing out of giving Betdaq a rating.

Cheers for that guys... i realise the liquidity sucks compared to betfair but i signed up because in Australia in play betting at betfair is limited to over the phone only (because its licensed here) but there's no restriction on betdaq. Still unsure of why betdaq is not rated, as i say the only concern is faxing my passport.. And sportsbetwin what does SBR get out of a betfair rating that they don't get out of a betdaq rating... don't follow the logic there.

Often liquidity isn't great - but that will improve if more players use it obviously - but low commission makes it my first choice exchange.

The guy tried to shark them on the moneybookers 1% rebate offer and got bitch-slapped, his acct activity he posted as 'proof' was more damning than anything could be. Read the threads in question before throwing such accusations out.

I'm no fan of DAQ but they are not Stryyke in disguise

Yep, another dude trying to be clever and making multiple moneybookers transactions, Betdaq should have warned him first though or just closed his account. I dont really care for them much because of the liquidity, but you certainly wont get stiffed if you are not trying to fleece them. Sending a copy of your passport to Betdaq is no more of a problem for Aussies than for anyone else sending their I.D to Aussie bookies.

They're a B-ish book, lacking some of the liquidity/feature set of Betfair, but nothing to suggest they're not financially solid, certainly comparable to the offshore climate.

No, the guy behind DAQ (and BetChronicle) is a well-known multi-millionaire who is part of the industry from the wagering side as well so would not have any concerns about payout, and as stated the operations are structured so that customer funds are in a segregated, bonded account.

Liquidity is not so great, I used them briefly way back when (used to use WBX as well occasionally) but now 90+ percent of any exchange activity I do is on Betfair.

that customer should have been warned about too early withdrawal and related charge. so A rating is out of question.
But i'd initiate coverage at B+ and take it from there. unfortunately SBR is happy with the way ratings are now, not adding any new coverage. so some widely used establishments remain unrated.

Would like to use Betdaq more, but there liquidity is, as mentioned, poor compared to Betfair. Dropping their commission charge across the board might go some way to getting more people to switch from Betfair. Good solid book though, would be inclined to say they are in the A-/B+ range.

bookmakers 2U rate them at 7.
(Their scale is 10-1) Sound like a fair rate to me.

their comission is a problem... although talking to them gets you lower comission, they change it with no warning.

They're more solvent than the country they're located in.
