Default Sportsbetting.com deactivates account of winning casino player

UPDATE: On 4/8/2011, Sportsbetting.com addresses dispute:

Quote:
Sportsbetting.com management: There was a bug our software supplier was unaware of. This player identified it and used that knowledge to win over $100,000 with a $280.00 loyalty comp. After investigating, our software supplier provided us with the details of the bug and how the player exploited it, allowing them to fix it. We contacted player to let him know of our findings. We also provided him with a percentage of his winnings, as he did assist the software supplier in finding a bug in the system. He accepted the offer and still logs into his account to this day.
On 4/9/2011, player confirms accepting $10,000, but denies being made aware of any software glitch. SBR is following up on this point.

Sportsbetting.com deactivates account of winning casino player
Sportsbetting.com (SBR rating C-) has twice deactivated the account of a winning casino player. Sportsbetting.com credited a player $280 on June 6th from their loyalty program, he proceeded to play European Roulette and increase his balance to $72,000. Sportsbetting.com then deactivated his account to verify the legitimacy of his play. His account was reopened the following week. The player continued to play European Roulette and made an additional $28,000. Sportsbetting.com deactivated his account a second time citing the need to investigate ''irregularities'' within the software. SBR is following up with Sportsbetting.com management.

Well, winning 100k playing roulette sounds highly irregular to me.

Why reopen the acct if they suspected cheating, review and if you can't prove it in a reasonable time frame, pay the player and say thanks, but we decline to service you due to too much winning. Many shops do it, why take the risk and lose again ?

If its a malfunction on their end with the software, I think its classless of them to deactivate the players account. Lets see what excuse they come up with.
However if they find the player was cheating, then they are completely justified. 100k Playing roulette does sound like alot.

This is amazing really. Not that he won, but the way it was handled. ANY casino would have stopped you way before the total got that big and told you "your play is too strong for us on roulette, you are free to play any of the other games, BUT NOT roulette!" Then they could do an internal investigation to analyze his play. but no way any casino lets the guy continue to play and then wants to whine abt it. pathetic casino manager who would lose his job under any normal circumstances. Like Deniro said "he is either incompetent or in on it--either way he is fired!"

dude should of course be paid. and then offered a job

Is it just me, or should this guy have requested a 72 grand payout before starting up again...seriously if you can turn 280 into 72 grand, cash out and leave a few hundred before playing again. Why risk giving the book more time to find the error/hack and a valid reason to not pay...

This. PLEASE, the next geek/nerd who discovers a pattern, please email me and i will explain to you how to earn from this for a very long time and extract the most value from the discovery. This stupidity always reminds me of the story of the Old bull and the young bull sitting up on top of the hill looking down into the valley at a group of cows...

Each session lasted approximately 2 hours. The player does concede some numbers seemed "streaky", so he continually bet the max ($200) on a range of numbers. It will be interesting to see how this one plays out. We'll update pending Sportsbetting.com's official response.

turning 280 into 70+K playing roulette....that doesn't sound right. And I don't see how this player did not bother to withdraw anything before hand.

And whats even fishy is that how the book let him continue after opening his account again! And the guy continued to play without requesting a withdrawal even after that incident? Hmmm...

Why did they deactivate his account AGAIN?

Seriously...you knew he was winning and you did nothing. Suck it up and bend over Sportsbetting.com

For everyone in here speculating he should have taken a payout.....I would guess he did and both times his account was deactivated.

i believe it is true-because of the source. SPORTSBETTING.COM should come to an agreement with player. maybe he should tell them how he did it and they should give him all of his balance. or whatever they agree on. the only exception to getting the balance is if he broke any rules and cheated to get the winnings. can't wait to see how this turns out.

Default Sportsbetting.com scam do not join

I recently deposited $100 and turned into 800. I sent in all the documents was told everything is fine. Go to withdrawl and they tell me they need more documents. There customer service is the biggest joke out there they do not have managers on weekends they are always short staffed. When I did speak to the manager it was some spic piece of trash who could not speak a lick of english. They all tell you the same thing. I do not want to hear apologies I want answers. I have been waiting two months now for my wire. My friend recently got a check for $400 and it bounced. He then tryed the wire and they charged him $47.00 fee on the wire and then they said the money was lost so he is stuck with the fee and still no money this site needs to be shut down. I wish more players would look on a site like this before they deposit. Some sport site needs to step up for there players where you can get cash when you want it how about sending us money through ** something atleast promising before I make another online gaming deposit.

Sportsbetting.com has stated that their casino software supplier is still "testing" and completing an investigation into the sessions. They claim to expect the process to be complete soon.

Why would someone keep betting like that?

If it were me, I would have won a couple of grand, cashed out, play more, cash out, etc, etc.

This way you already have most of your money when they cry foul! The most they can get is what is left in your account at the time they want to investigate!

I wonder how many times these casinos take our money on software problems? They would never give our money back!

No need to hold this guys money for an investigation! No one will know if their investigation will be legit anyways!

At the end of the day, given they froze him, checked things out, and then let him restart anew, they should pay him out in full unless they have proof that he actively cheated ...

I think that it is very easy. they should pay the guy or they should provide proof that they cancelled other people's plays as well because of the software malfunction.

i think this player acted very stupid. if he realy found something out, he should have withdrawn his 72 k or at least 90% of it and then continue playing after a month or a few weeks. if he didnt do that that is a big mistake a very stupid move.

I should've listened. I made a small deposit there because of the ridiculous bonus I was offered. A wager was misgraded on the first day my account was open. I'm still waiting to hear back from customer support after one live chat and two emails. They must have exactly ZERO repeat business.
