    Default Why did TradebetX close and never reopen

    Tradebetx was as good if not better than Matchbook. I think they closed because it was getting hard for clients to fund their accounts from the U.S. They should have been able to find other options that have sprung up since then and I wish they would reopen. Anyone have any news or information as to what their situation is would be appreciated. I hope they or another exchange like them would open up and give matchbook much needed competition.

    I think they wanted to go 'legit' with Intrade, and saw the sports part as more trouble than it was worth.

    They can't survive since matchbook takes most of the US players.

    I know I loved tradesports, it was my only book for years until they closed and switched to matchbook.
