Default Sportsbooks for sharps ?

Hi,

I've just had my wagering limit at Bwin cut to $50. This is bad for me as I do a lot of arbs, and Bwin was one of my better outs.

What UK books out there have a good reputation, and don't cut limits ?

Is there somewhere on SBR where this information is available ?

Also, I know that some A books don't display their up-to-date lines until you've actually logged in. I think 5Dimes is such a book. Are there any other books that do this ?

All Euro type books will limit you if you start to beat them at a pretty good clip. What you would want to do is focus on playing at the betting exchanges that are out there, because they have no limits.

Here is just a few you might want to check out:

BetFair
Betdaq
Betsson
BetOnBet

The one problem some people have about using exchanges is that they might not have best line at time.

If you don't like the idea of using exchanges at all. You might want to checkout Pinnacle, because they do offer hight limits, low vig, and they won't collar you.

Unibet is one of the best European books out there IMO. However they still will cut your limits albeit not as fast as most of them will. The one negative thing I did have with them is that they have some very bad customer service.

I'm currently at Betfair, Matchbook and Tradesports.

Are there major exchanges besides those ? Is there a comprehensive list of exchanges somewhere ?

Their are more exchanges out there sir, however I don't have a compiled list of them anywhere.

Here are a few other ones that I do know about you may or may not want to look into though.

betbull (a Betdaq skin)
Mybet (lots of problems with slow pays and bad service)
iBetX (very slow paying though)
SupporterBet (Not worth even considering playing at IMO)
MatchMyWager (Expekt supports them)

there is virtually no limit at pinnacle...you just have to take worse and worse odds.

I did mention betsson already above sir. However, I am curious as to which one won't limit you and has slow moving lives.

i was checking out some of exchanges listed on this page..Dear member,
The UK Gambling Act 2005 was in force on 1 September 2007 and we are waiting for our application to pass.

Without the official approval of the Gambling Commission we are unable to serve our members.

We hope to be operational again soon, please be patient and stay with us.

A demo system is available at demo.supporterbet.com

Kind regards

Supporterbet is a joke, and I am sure they stopped business because they didn't make any profit.

There aren't any UK books who don't cut limits.

The only european/'european style' books who didn't cut limits soon in my case were Centrebet (not european but 'european style') and Bet-at-home.
I recommend both books (also Bet-at-home even if they have a bad rating here).

Danny none of the ASSHOLES you listed above have AMERICAN ODDS!!
They don't even have the prices in dollars, for crying out loud!.
Tradesports witch i believe is also British have the option available so those of us on this side of the world can understand what the propositions are?
Do you know of a another exchange that caters to us in north america unlike those pathetic British dirt bag outfit above?
Since the closing of MANSION i have looking for a 3rd option!

I only know of Matchbook and Tradesports that is available to U.S. players Speculator. If somebody else knows of any other exchanges that American players are able to play at, please post them.

IMO I think that is what books really mean when they say "sharp action"...

Then it must be my understanding of "sharp" that's wrong (sorry, english is my second language).

I was under the impression that sharps are people that on the long run make better gambling decisions that translate into profits for them, and losses for the books...

If that's not a good definition, than please feel free to correct me.

But the main problem remains : I'm now even more limited at Bwin, and am afraid of withdrawing again from Unibet.

At Bwin, I had deposited under $10k over a few months, and withdrew almost three times what I had deposited. They didn't think twice before limiting me.

At Unibet, I could now withdraw about $4k, but I'm not sure I wanna do it :-) Anyone know the approximate profit a client has to make before the alarm sounds at Unibet ?

Euro books will limit you. Bowmans limited me in December from 1100 to 550 and most recently to 11. They even send me a nice friendly e mail saying your welcome to keep playing, bonus's are done and you have new limits. They even came right out and said my account was not profitable for them.

If and when they start taking American customers I'm sure they probably would.
