Fore those of you that use them, how is there service and do they really offer reduced juice? How are their cash outs, problematic or ok? I was thinking of setting up an account with them because of the reduced juice.. It seems that a bettor would save a lot of $ by paying reduced juice over a long period of time.
thanks |

Do you have an account at Matchbook? What sports are you mainly interested in?

nothing but great things to say here...yes they have reduced juice and it's also "true" reduced juice, meaning that almost every side is -105, while other reduced juice books like pinnacle like to play with the juice (also known as the pinny lean). Bank wire withdrawals are extremely fast, requested a 4 figure withdrawal yesterday and it was in my account today. The only negative thing to say about the withdrawals are that the fees are a little steep ($75) and there are no free withdrawals. the low juice more than makes up for the fees, but if you're a small bettor ($25-100 per game) you're probably better off going with 5dimes, where you'll still get reduced juice but also get a free withdrawal per month.

No outstanding payout problems that I know of at this time eyeball.
BetOnline is an Ok recreational book that offers reduce juice, however if you start winning at a pretty good clip they will cut your limits as well as lose those 7-1 odds they offer on 3-team parlays. Their funding methods could stand a little improving, but what book really couldn't these days. They offer Western Union, MoneyGrams, cashiers checks, and bank wires. The withdraw options and fees really need some revamping, because they charge $50 for cashier check type withdraws. The only real problem I have with them is that they haven't been around long enough in order for me to really recommend them personally, however at the same time I'm not going to hold that against them either. In my opinion I think Matchbook would be the best choice for you if you are indeed looking for the reduce juice factor. |

5Dimes has more options but 105 is only on game day. Betonline will have limits above $500, the max for reduced juice bets at 5D.

I requested a cashout by cashiers check of about $4300 on November 29. I called today to inquire about the status as I had not received it yet. I got some cock and bull story about how their bank had been unable process checks recently, but was assured that my check would go out in tomorrow's mail. It may take up to 10 business days to get here.

Bullajami, I haven't seen anyone complain about payout length here, accept for the player with the $40,000 problem. I would allways use a Fedex option for withdrawel, because I think it gives them an excuse for slow payouts.

Betonline does not offer a FEDEX withdrawal option.

I have a pending Fed Ex Bet Online payout from the same period as Bullajami. It too is delayed, as are multiple others I have heard about. They seem to have stopped paying as of November 26 (at least by check—I don’t know if customers have received payouts since then via other methods). Likely processor problems. At least I hope it’s that and not something worse. They claim to now have the problem solved and that payouts are about to resume. I was told to check back Monday for a tracking number.
I’ve had delays or bounced checks due to processor issues at many books this year including Greek, WSEX, and Bodog, so I don’t panic when this happens. Unfortunately it’s just one of the ways the industry has gotten worse since the U.S. government stepped up their anti-offshore gambling efforts. But my concern will certainly grow the more time passes.

Yes that is correct they do NOT offer checks for payouts but they do offer bank wires... I thought that was odd when the CS Rep. told me that because it's the opposite for most books dealing with US faces...

Just checked with Betonline and they said right now they are not offering checks as an option. MoneyGram might take one day or up to two days. I was going to fund with them but it seems they are having a payout problem now. The web site says checks are a option. I guess anytime you have reduced juice the service is reduced in some way? They don;t seem to have any exact answers on times of payouts.Hope this helps

Yes, it’s certainly possible they’re now telling customers they don’t offer this method for withdrawals. But there’s no question they normally offer it. It says so on their website. I received such a payout in November. I have another such payout pending.

And no, this is NOT a book I would currently deposit to, unless and until it is shown clearly that this was a brief delay caused by processor problems beyond their control.

Other than this payout problem now do you thinkthe reduced juice is enough of a reason to play there, any other problems?

Yes, if everything is cleared up with the payouts and there are no safety issues, I believe almost all players would find value here.
They offer two different account options. You have a choice between paying half-juice on straight bets or no juice at all if you combine those plays into parlays. To me the latter option is far superior—especially since they even give bigger bonuses if you choose that option—but different players will have different preferences. If you do particularly well with the perks they will end, but at least you won what you won until then.

As far as negatives, transaction fees are the highest of any book I play at. No free payouts, not even by regular mail. Cheapest is Fed Ex for $50, and they’ve told me a couple times recently that’s going to $100. It may already be there for new requests (once Fed Ex resumes, that is).
Customer service tends to be of the “hard sell” variety, like aggressive telemarketers reading from a script. The reliability of the information received from customer service is poor. That’s a pet peeve of mine with sportsbooks in general, but in my experience Bet Online has been worse than the norm. Ask seven times by phone and e-mail how they calculate rollover and enjoy the seven different mutually exclusive responses you’ll get.

Fair is fair, as they say. I griped when I was unhappy, so I will give some kudos when I get satisfaction.
After telling me yesterday that my check would be mailed today, I received my payout check from BetOnline this morning via Fedex. There was no additional charge to my account for sending via Fedex. I was also happy to see that it was drawn on a US bank, so my own bank won't f*** with me for three weeks before cashing it. Counting business days from the date I requested the payout, they only missed their posted cashout time by one day. Unfortunate, but hardly a crime against humanity. I'd give them an overall "B" rating.

These guys really are hard headed when it comes to taking any suggestions whatsoever. They could solve many of these problems for a huge possible client base--just by adding Moneybookers. Is that so hard? They just have not seen fit to address ewallet options in a competent manner.
From a marketing standpoint--I just don't get it!? Otherwise--they are running a good shop. |

I’ve received my Fed Ex check from Bet Online. It took between two and three weeks this time. My only other withdrawal from them this year took just three days, and that’s including a weekend. Though you can never know for sure from the outside, I tend to believe the excuse that there was a temporary problem with a third party (a processor) and that Bet Online is fine. I would recommend, though, keeping an eye open for future slow pay claims or other problems. I don’t have the same level of confidence in this place as in, say, Greek or WSEX or a handful of others, but I’m comfortable keeping a small to medium balance there right now.

This is good feedback.
I always thought of Bet Online as good for the smaller player (but they said they didn't want me when I gave them my "I'm a pro and I'll beat you" intro). I'm a bit surprised at the payout fees if they are targeting recreational players. As far as book operations, I am not aware of any complaints against them. |
