Default Bodog: How much can you take them for, before limits?

If your bets are only the weak side of their opinionated lines, how much can you take them for before they collar your bets. Their limits are pretty low to being with; $500 on most sports, sides are $1000.

Going to be hard, considering they are so scared to put up decent lines.

    For the square line set?

Win amount is irrelevant. Bet the "right" side once or twice and you are off. Amount irrelevant.

For their normal lines, you can win a a decent amount, but way less than before.

Durito, you know how many line set they have? I know at least 2, but I am assuming there might be more depending on their profile on you.

I would like to hear of ANYONE who has won 40k from Bodog. I think betting smart, you would be lucky to cash 10k. Please post if u know any lifetime BoDog winners 10k+

This is a book that feels they are entitled to the players money and no gambler should be allowed to win. I will never post there again.

Haven't played there in a long time. Eventually I was reduced to betting occasional props, but became pretty worthless for serious sports wagering. Best I ever heard of a sharp getting the square lines was 2 weeks. Worst I ever heard was 3 wagers. Didn't matter the amt of the bet really, $50 or 1k it just depended which side you were on. There is often still value in their sharp lines, but it just isn't worth the mining effort when you can go other places and pick up the gold right off the ground. Just my opinion.

They're a rec book. If you're able to get them for 40K it's probably because someone is asleep at the switch on their end.

For the UK site it's 2 max bets and you're hopelessly limited. I had to try complete my wagering on the bonus on 27p limits.

Bodog UK limits me to maximum stakes of 100 Euro for everything after placing my first bet (which was a 300 Euro moneyline bet @ -330)

Moonbeam, that was big, my limits was set at 6-8usd/bets. Bodog was much better and probably IS better for americans. Their uk-books sucks .

Betting on places like BetED, Sportsinteraction, BoDog, and others that run jacked up lines, and only betting the "off" lines its mathematically impossible not to win in the long run. If you don't have the ability to discipline yourself, please dont hate on others.

When they jack up their lines in the wrong direction, do they even mind people betting the 'right' side? It seems like they are begging for action to balance their books...or do they just assume squares will bet the wrong side at any price?

If they mind this, they may be asking me to leave soon...

The latter. The shaded lines are often on public teams, public games, or the MLB runlines. For Wednesday it looks like every dog -1.5 line closed 5c worse on the square line feed than the "sharp" line feed, except for the STL/SD game which was the same line on both feeds. But, you don't get particularly good value on the -1.5 lines on the sharp feed since you can still usually do much better on Matchbook.

Durito is right that you get switched off the "square line set" after a couple bets, and the bet amount is largely irrelevant. When I started there, my bets were around $200 and I recall getting 4 bets in on the square line feed, and I know people who've bet $20 or $30 there and gotten switched almost as quickly. After I got switched off the square line feed, I found them largely useless for straight bets since I could get a better price at other books, so I bet mostly props and I think I got maybe 15 props in before they cut my prop limits (which were low anyway even at full limits) and started using this long delay where they usually move the line before my bet is confirmed.
