Hansabet Players, Anyone with a future or bet on next week's event?
Hansabet is closing its book to the few players it had. Early indications are the bonus situation will be handled fairly but they are saying bets that can't be settled this week will be no-actioned. Anyone here going to be hurt by that?

That's total BS ! How hard would it be to honor the futures ? Maybe they don't like what they are holding ?

Maybe or they are moving to a poker network and need to clear the books. There is no excuse to cancel. We haven't received a complaint on this yet and if we do, I am guessing it will be next week after the player decides if he really wants to keep his action and more results are known.
This could be a very minor issue or may be nothing. We need to know if Hansa had NFL and NBA futures.

what book doesn't offer futures ? Some players will be unhappy, some will get dead money back.
I'd be pissed if I had Celts,Pats,Cowboys,etc.

This is a very annoying practice. I lost a large amount of equity when Easybets and Sportingbet closed up and voided all futures.

When Pinnacle left the US market, they honored my future, even though I lost :-) I wish they would have voided it :-)
I actually do not wish they would have voided futures. That would have been extremely unfair for those with valuable futures that had climbed in market value.
This is very unprofessional of hansabet to cancel futures.
I am a little shocked that hansa bet, formerly bowmans.com would do this.

My actual opinion is that a book that closes should honor all futures, even if mine loses. I am a little shocked that hansa bet formerly bookmaker.com would do this.
Betting futures off shore seems to carry a lot of additional risk.

Pinny didn't close
these guys were Bowman's not Bookmaker

I do have to question how much the book stood to win or lose on all those futures as a hole. Was it more profitable for them to let them stand or cancel them altogether? I guess we will never know that info at all, but I'd be screaming foul too if I had a guaranteed locked up future... Then get screwed out of it.

It was a joke of a book from the start, and i saw this coming.
They did cut limits very fast, even with them being very low from the start ($250 on most stuff). Too high initial rating given from SBR imo.

It was a too high initial rating, but up until now they have not done anything like this. They made a contract on these future's bets, and they are breaking the contract. It is a stupid move, because not all of their poker and casino players, are exclusively poker and casino players. This is one of the stupidest moves I have seen by an online gaming operation. Most likely most of these futures would have been a net loss for the players anyhow, and now the sportsbook which could have earned some additional money on these is going to look like thieves.

Hansabet is a non-US/CAN version of Bowmans, not the average "new book." The limits and the amount of offers were low due to their entry into to different sports markets but the money and CS was there. The different wagering managers were probably the difference maker. They never really got in with two feet.
Early word from Hansabet CS is they are telling players to keep the bonuses regardless of rollovers and anyone with a profitable position can email us or mgt. in an effort to settle.
Justin will be taking any Hansa complaints that come in and help the player figure out the equity he has in his bet and make a claim. So far, no complaints. It will probably take the UK bettor a week or two to realize what's going on.
No one has mentioned a future markets being offered in NFL or NBA.
