find some friends that work blue collar jobs, especially construction, and find out what small local bars they hang out at, theres bound to be one there that someone can hook you up with. also find people who know someone who works at a track, especially with horses, and find out their early afternoon or late morning bar or pub that they gather at to talk about horses and sports, theres bound to be someone at those places also.

I actually use a great local in Dallas that has been around for 20 years. I was having a drink at a little bar by my house and I mentioned I was looking local for a book to the bartender and the owner of the bar had a friend who was a full time bookie. Bets still done on a website with $$ tracking and bet tracking IDs. Payout and pickup at the local bar for losers on Wednesday and winners on Thursday. Great setup and I couldn't be happier.

thanks 4Fun.And$$, i wasn't trying to be funny though, just pointing out what its like(at least here in louisville). if your in construction, your probably gambling. a poor working mans idea a saving for retirement isn't stocks and a 401k, its winning a lottery or winning a little extra by gambling so they can takes the kids to Texas Roadhouse for dinner on payday, instead of Micky D's.

No my point was just as you explained to him what to I thought back on my process and I was as you explained almost. I had no clue how to look for a local so I just started askink at bars as you suggested and wihtin two weeks a local was found. There are probably 500 bars in Dallas and the onw I walk into which serves the working man has the local hookup. I figured it would take months and yet in two weeks a reliable local was found.
