I've been meaning to write a post about these guys... but haven't had a chance until today. I've been in this industry for a long time now and have accounts at around 25+ books.... And while they may not be THE best in the industry, BetHorizon is definitely much closer to an A+ book then most A and B books.

I'm not really sure why they don't get as much publicity as other books do, but they are definitely one of the most underrrated books out there right now.

- They have solid lines.... (10 cent lines on MLB up to -200 i think)

- They are right up there with bookmaker and 5Dimes when it comes to betting options... especially on the major American sports.

- They have overnight ** payouts... fast bank wires.

- AND THEY DON'T LIMIT YOU.

I deposited 200 on there to try it out with a 20% bonus on 3/21... Im up to about 70k in my account and they have shown me nothing but respect the whole way.... They haven't limited me at all (there limits aren't as high as a Pinnacle or Bookmaker... but 3k max limits on MLB and NBA are fine with me.....). I have talked to pretty much everyone at the company and they have are all pleasant and haven't given me any attitude at any time..... Thats something that is very rare in Costa Rican books these days. I get my weekly payouts and they don't have a problem or give me shit because I'm winning at all. Its a relief to see a book like this still around....

In comparison, I turned 75 dollars into 7k on BetMania in about a two week span a few months ago and they limited me to 100 dollars on everything except 500 on NBA sides and totals....

While I'm probably gonna appear like a shill in this thread, I felt like this book really deserved the recognition that they should get. They are a very solid book, and definitely don't get the recognition they reserve. B books should be the JustBet's and BetOnline's of the betting world.... ones who don't have much for betting options, betting limits and are a little above average but nothing special... I just feel like BetHorizon is definitely a step above these average B books......

I don't know... I really don't use emails much..... Carla from Accounting emails me sometimes about payouts, but thats it... why don't you just call them and get a direct response? I hate emailing books personally.

any book that does not respond to simple questions by email are books that have piss poor customer service

I agree that they are a very solid bookie. Limits are great and they don't tell you to fck off if you win. I have to agree that in general they are slow to answer e-mails. If you want top service within normal buiness hours you should e-mail Carl (cferrat@bethorizon.com) directly. His service is usually way better than what you can get with most bookies, and definitely better than the e-mail CS in general from the horizon people. I am sure that if you call them up though that they can help you fast. I had several e-mails go unanswered when I first joined them, but when Carl came along I usually got a response within minutes when he was in the office.

However, it isn't all a bed of roses. Currently they are suffering a shortage of funds in their ewallets (moneybookers and neteller), and as a result unfortunately some players have been waiting longer than they should to get their money. But while they are waiting for fresh funds to get their accounts, they did send out whatever they had in partial payments to owed players. Obviously this can also be as a result of the shift in betting market, with many people asking for withdrawals and baseball bettors are slow to get in the action.

If you look in the april payouts thread though you can see that they paid out someone next day 2x using ** very recently, so it is not like they are really slowpaying,

Horizon is okay. Just got a payout by wire. It was not amazingly fast. The first part came 6 days after the request, the rest came 20 days after. Not great but not horrible.

As for their pedigree, that traces directly through the Bet Atlas days which is nothing to be proud of. They screwed people around for well over a year not long ago. Carl is a nice guy but his pedigree goes through the BetJoint days. They folded. Then he was involved in drama at Bet911.

Again, nice guy - but he's a sales rep. Of course he's going to slap you on the back and tell you you look like you've been working out.

They have some decent lines on baseball and a lot of vanilla lines on other sports.



Particularly given that many of the Atlas people are still there, they should be thrilled out of their heads for a B- rating.

Think what you want.... Im just a player thats happy with the book, and really feel that they don't get enough props around here. They've done alot for me in the last month so I figured I'd pay them back with a thread praising them.... I don;t know if anything has changed in the past year and a half, but they were extremely slow with payouts. It took dozens of phone calls to Carla to get anything accomplished.

This thread is the biggest joke I have seen at SBR in a long time. Their payout speed makes WSEX look like Pinnacle.

Their rating should be C- at best. A rating of B is a clear indication of why SBR ratings should not be trusted. The rating wasn't updated for years despite tons of new information.

I had a not so great experience with them a while back and if you search for it you can find it on the forum. I got paid eventually. they had lack of withdrawal options and when they offered to pay me they offered two shady options which I would never do.

I did post up with them when I saw Carl with them. But for their not so high bonuses I dont find much value in them.

Well all I can say is that Richard George is telling the truth, he did get his $200 to $90K and change and he has been paid out "regularly", so there it is there...We do appreciate his posts here and he will continue to be paid in a regular fashion as all our players are.
