I realize for U.S. residents, a check is the only way to get money from Matchbook. It looks like i'm going to need some money pulled out. I was just wondering if anyone has asked for a payout recently. If so, how long did it take to receive the funds? The website says it will take 1-2 weeks airmail or 2-3 days fedex. any info will be appreciated. thanks for your help.

Book transfer minimum is 1K?

My first 3 airmail checks came in about 3 days each (this was 2 weeks ago). The last one came in a week and was strangely split into a 9k and a 1k.

No, I transferred $500 to another book.

Took 2 payouts in the last 2 weeks from Matchbook, checks by Fed Ex. Got each within 5 business days.

I know it's not cool to discuss too many details anymore but has anyone else received a check payout that requires your bank to send out for collection before you can get your cash?I thought with an international check it just took longer to clear? Fees from my bank and the intermediary bank perhaps too.

I honestly don't know off hand Kieth. Maybe it has something to do with the 3rd party processing they use.

Thanks Dan. The check is issued from a Canadian bank. Geezus, It's not like the check was from Iran or Iraq.

I have received Fedex Checks from Matchbook in as little as 3 days!

Also, as Keith Richard mentioned (how is Mick by the way?), the check is drawn from Canada for USA clients, so the clearing period is not long at all.

Actually my bank says it could take over 2 weeks to clear BECAUSE it is from Canada.

Checks come by regular mail within at most one week.Matchbook is OK.

Update. My first check cleared today after being sent for collections on Jan. 11. Not as bad as I thought it might be. 2nd check I used my other bank to test which would process quicker but nothing heard yet on that one. Still a pain in the ass overall these foreign checks.

Matchbook checks come very quickly, even the free airmail check can reach you in just 3 days, and the fedex will likely get to you the next day...however my bank has still not cleared their Canadian check (it has been 20 days now).
